هطلت اليوم (الخميس)، أمطار متوسطة إلى غزيرة على أنحاء متفرقة من المنطقة الشرقية والمراكز التابعة لها، شملت مدينتي الدمام والظهران، ومحافظات بقيق، والخبر، والقطيف، ورأس تنورة، ولا تزال الأمطار مستمرة، والسماء ملبدة بالغيوم، والفرصة مهيأة لهطول المزيد من الأمطار.
وفي هذا السياق، أعلن المركز الوطني للأرصاد إطلاق سلسلة من الإنذارات الجوية التي تشمل عدداً من مناطق المملكة، في ظل حالة من التقلبات الجوية المتسارعة، تراوح بين رياح نشطة وأتربة مثارة، وأمطار غزيرة مصحوبة بجريان سيول، وسط تحذيرات من شبه انعدام في الرؤية الأفقية على الطرق السريعة والمناطق المفتوحة.
وأوضح المركز أن المنطقة الشرقية تشهد إنذاراً من الدرجة الحمراء، يشمل محافظات الخفجي، النعيرية، قرية العليا، وحفر الباطن، إضافة إلى المناطق المفتوحة والطرق السريعة، إذ تتأثر بأمطار غزيرة، ورياح شديدة السرعة، وتساقط للبرد، مع نشاط للصواعق الرعدية، ما يؤدي إلى تدنٍ حاد في مستوى الرؤية.
وبيّن أن الحالة الجوية تستمر حتى الساعة السادسة مساء اليوم (الخميس)، على محافظات الخفجي والنعيرية وقرية العليا، فيما تستمر حتى الرابعة مساء على محافظة حفر الباطن
من جهته، دعا الدفاع المدني إلى توخي الحيطة والحذر واتباع الإرشادات والتعليمات الوقائية، نظراً للحالة المناخية التي تشهدها أجزاء من المنطقة الشرقية، مؤكداً أهمية الالتزام بتعليمات السلامة، وتجنب مجاري السيول والأودية، والحد من التنقل غير الضروري خلال التقلبات الجوية.

Today (Thursday), moderate to heavy rains fell in various parts of the Eastern Province and its affiliated centers, including the cities of Dammam and Dhahran, as well as the governorates of Al-Qatif, Al-Khobar, Al-Biqaiq, and Ras Tanura. The rain is still ongoing, the sky is overcast, and the opportunity for more rain remains.
In this context, the National Center of Meteorology announced the launch of a series of weather alerts covering several regions of the Kingdom, amid rapidly changing weather conditions, ranging from active winds and raised dust to heavy rains accompanied by flash floods, with warnings of near-zero visibility on highways and open areas.
The center clarified that the Eastern Province is under a red alert, which includes the governorates of Al-Khafji, Al-Nairiyah, Al-Qurayyat Al-Ulya, and Hafr Al-Batin, in addition to open areas and highways, as they are affected by heavy rains, very strong winds, hail, and active thunderstorms, leading to a sharp decline in visibility.
It was indicated that the weather conditions will continue until 6 PM today (Thursday) in the governorates of Al-Khafji, Al-Nairiyah, and Al-Qurayyat Al-Ulya, while it will continue until 4 PM in the governorate of Hafr Al-Batin.
For its part, the Civil Defense urged caution and adherence to preventive guidelines and instructions, given the climatic conditions affecting parts of the Eastern Province, emphasizing the importance of following safety instructions, avoiding flood channels and valleys, and limiting unnecessary travel during the weather fluctuations.
