دشّن المشرف العام على مجمع الملك عبدالله الطبي ومستشفى الولادة والأطفال التخصصي بجدة، الدكتور سامر بن إبراهيم أسرة، فعاليات الحملة الوطنية للتوعية بسرطان الثدي في مجمع الملك عبدالله الطبي، أحد مكونات تجمع جدة الصحي الثاني، تحت شعار «دربك وردي»، وذلك بالتزامن مع الشهر العالمي للتوعية بسرطان الثدي «الشهر الوردي»، الذي يُقام خلال شهر أكتوبر من كل عام.
وتأتي الفعاليات انطلاقةً لبرنامج توعوي يستمر حتى نهاية شهر ديسمبر، بالتنسيق مع عدد من الجهات والمؤسسات الحكومية والخاصة، بهدف تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي بسرطان الثدي، والتأكيد على أهمية الكشف المبكر ودوره في اكتشاف المرض في مراحله الأولى.
وتركز الحملة على التعريف بفحص الماموجرام وأهميته في الكشف المبكر عن سرطان الثدي، إلى جانب التوعية بعوامل الخطورة وسبل الوقاية، والأعراض التي تستدعي الانتباه، وتصحيح المفاهيم الخاطئة، وتشجيع المستفيدات على الاستفادة من خدمات الفحص والكشف المبكر.
وتضمنت الفعاليات عدداً من الأركان التوعوية والتثقيفية بمشاركة فرق التوعية والتثقيف الصحي، والبرامج الصحية، ونموذج الرعاية الصحية، والمراكز الصحية، وقسم الأشعة، والتغذية العلاجية، والخدمة الاجتماعية، والجراحة العامة، والصحة النفسية؛ حيث تناولت التعريف بعوامل الوقاية وتقليل مخاطر الإصابة بسرطان الثدي، وشروط الفحص المبكر، وآلية إجراء فحص الماموجرام وأهميته، إلى جانب تقديم معلومات وحقائق حول الاكتشاف المبكر ودوره في رفع فرص نجاح العلاج والتعامل مع المرض في مراحله الأولى.
كما شملت الأركان التعريف بمواقع إجراء فحوصات الماموجرام وخدمات الكشف المبكر، والتوعية بأهمية الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي، ودور التكامل بين مختلف التخصصات الصحية في تقديم رعاية شاملة للمستفيد خلال رحلة العلاج.
وتسعى الحملة إلى رفع مستوى الوعي بسرطان الثدي، وتعزيز ثقافة الكشف المبكر، ونشر السلوكيات الصحية، والتعريف بعوامل الخطورة وطرق الوقاية، بما يسهم في دعم صحة المجتمع وتحسين جودة الحياة.
The General Supervisor of King Abdullah Medical Complex and the Specialized Hospital for Maternity and Children in Jeddah, Dr. Samer bin Ibrahim Asrah, launched the activities of the national campaign for breast cancer awareness at King Abdullah Medical Complex, one of the components of the Second Jeddah Health Cluster, under the slogan "Your Path is Pink," coinciding with the global breast cancer awareness month, "Pink Month," which takes place every October.
The events mark the beginning of an awareness program that will continue until the end of December, in coordination with several governmental and private entities, aiming to enhance community awareness of breast cancer and emphasize the importance of early detection and its role in discovering the disease in its early stages.
The campaign focuses on introducing mammogram screening and its importance in the early detection of breast cancer, as well as raising awareness of risk factors, preventive measures, symptoms that require attention, correcting misconceptions, and encouraging beneficiaries to take advantage of screening and early detection services.
The events included several awareness and educational booths with the participation of health education and awareness teams, health programs, healthcare models, health centers, the radiology department, therapeutic nutrition, social services, general surgery, and mental health; addressing the introduction of preventive factors and reducing the risk of breast cancer, conditions for early screening, the procedure for mammogram screening and its importance, along with providing information and facts about early detection and its role in increasing the chances of successful treatment and managing the disease in its early stages.
The booths also included information about locations for mammogram screenings and early detection services, raising awareness of the importance of psychological and social support, and the role of integration among various health specialties in providing comprehensive care to beneficiaries throughout their treatment journey.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of breast cancer, promote a culture of early detection, disseminate healthy behaviors, and inform about risk factors and preventive methods, contributing to supporting community health and improving quality of life.
