أقر مجلس إدارة المركز الوطني للوقاية من الآفات النباتية والأمراض الحيوانية ومكافحتها (وقاء)، إنشاء المجلس البيطري للحياة البرية، واعتماد معجم ترميز الآفات النباتية والأمراض الحيوانية، بهدف توحيد المصطلحات والرموز ورفع كفاءة منظومة الوقاية والمكافحة.
جاء ذلك، خلال الاجتماع الـ23 لمجلس إدارة المركز، الذي ترأسه وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة رئيس مجلس إدارة «وقاء» المهندس عبدالرحمن عبدالمحسن الفضلي، في مقر الوزارة بالرياض، حيث استعرض المجلس عدداً من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعماله، وتابع تحديث القرارات السابقة وتكليفات مركز الحكومة، إلى جانب متابعة مؤشرات الأداء الإستراتيجية والتنفيذية والتشغيلية للمركز.
وناقش المجلس نتائج تقييم المنظمات والجهات المختصة ذات العلاقة لقدرات «وقاء» في مجالي الصحة النباتية والصحة الحيوانية، ومستجدات التعاون وتبادل الخبرات مع الجهات النظيرة على المستوى الإقليمي.
كما اطّلع على تفاصيل الحملة الاتصالية «تراها أصح»، الهادفة إلى رفع مستوى الوعي بالإدارة المتكاملة للآفات النباتية، واستعرض شهادات الجودة التي حصل عليها المركز في مجالات إدارة المخاطر واستمرارية الأعمال وإدارة المعرفة وإدارة علاقات العملاء، إضافة إلى متابعة ما استجد من أعمال. وشهد الاجتماع الموافقة على عدد من المقترحات والتقارير التنفيذية، في إطار مواصلة تطوير أعمال المركز وتعزيز قدراته في مجالات الوقاية والمكافحة والصحة النباتية والحيوانية.
The Board of Directors of the National Center for Plant Pests and Animal Diseases Prevention and Control (Waqaa) approved the establishment of the Wildlife Veterinary Council and the adoption of a glossary for coding plant pests and animal diseases, aiming to unify terminology and symbols and enhance the efficiency of the prevention and control system.
This took place during the 23rd meeting of the Center's Board of Directors, chaired by the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and Chairman of the Board of "Waqaa," Engineer Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh. The board reviewed several topics on its agenda, followed up on updates to previous decisions and government center assignments, as well as monitoring the strategic, executive, and operational performance indicators of the center.
The board discussed the results of evaluations by relevant organizations and entities regarding Waqaa's capabilities in the fields of plant health and animal health, along with developments in cooperation and exchange of experiences with counterpart entities at the regional level.
It also reviewed the details of the communication campaign "You See It Right," aimed at raising awareness of integrated management of plant pests. The board examined the quality certificates that the center has received in the fields of risk management, business continuity, knowledge management, and customer relationship management, in addition to following up on new developments. The meeting witnessed the approval of several proposals and executive reports, as part of the ongoing efforts to develop the center's operations and enhance its capabilities in the fields of prevention, control, and plant and animal health.
