Our pride is in our generosity
The volunteer concluded by saying: “Our pride is in our generosity; Saudi generosity is a value recognized by everyone who has lived among us or visited our country. The Kingdom welcomes the world with its values, culture, and hospitality, presenting at every occasion an image worthy of its history and its people.”
He added: “On our National Day, we proudly say: Our pride is in our courage, our pride is in our vision, our pride is in our authenticity, our pride is in our determination, our pride is in our generosity, our pride is in our hospitality. These are our traits, and this is the Kingdom we cherish, and this is our sports that moves with the nation towards a greater future and a wider global presence.”
The President of Al-Raed Club and Vice President of the Friends of Football Players Charity Association, Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Mutawa, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to the generous Saudi people, on the occasion of Saudi National Day, asking God to maintain the Kingdom's security, pride, stability, and prosperity, and for the journey of construction, development, and achievements in various fields to continue.
Al-Mutawa affirmed that National Day holds great significance in the hearts of Saudis, as it commemorates the story of the establishment of a great nation and the unification journey led by the founding king, Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud - may God have mercy on him - leading to a present-day Saudi Arabia witnessing extensive developmental, economic, social, and sports transformations.
He stated that the slogan for National Day 2026, “Our pride is in our nature,” embodies a system of values deeply rooted in Saudi society, represented in courage, vision, authenticity, determination, generosity, and hospitality, which are the six pillars adopted by the official identity for the occasion.
Our pride is in our courage
Al-Mutawa said: “Our pride is in our courage; courage is present in the history of this land, in the unification journey, in building the state, and in every stage where Saudis have carried the responsibility of their homeland and the aspirations of their generations. This courage has become a culture of work and initiative, a force that drives the sons of the nation to achieve accomplishments and face challenges with confidence.”
He pointed out that Saudi sports exemplifies this spirit, through ambition in competition, organization, hosting, and creating generations capable of representing the Kingdom on international platforms.
Our pride is in our vision
He added: “Our pride is in our vision; the Saudi vision has become a hallmark of transformation, through which sports has evolved into a sector linked to the economy, investment, tourism, quality of life, and opportunity creation.” Al-Mutawa explained that the Kingdom's selection to host the 2034 World Cup represents a historic milestone in the journey of Saudi sports, after the FIFA Congress appointed the Kingdom as the host of the tournament by acclamation, a step that positions Saudi Arabia before the world as a major international sports destination.
Our pride is in our authenticity
Al-Mutawa continued: “Our pride is in our authenticity; the Kingdom moves towards the future while carrying its history, identity, and the values of its society. Saudi authenticity is evident in the cohesion of the community, in pride in heritage, and in the deep relationship between the individual and his land, leadership, and homeland.”
He saw that sports is part of this identity; from clubs that are linked to the history of cities and regions, to fans who have created an extended sports culture, reaching new generations who carry the same passion with more advanced tools.
Our pride is in our determination
Al-Mutawa said: “Our pride is in our determination, and the Saudi determination today is reflected in the scale of projects, the speed of achievement, the expansion of ambitions, and the presence of youth in various sectors.”
He noted that the expansion of sports practice in society reflects an aspect of this transformation, as the Ministry of Sports announced that the percentage of adults engaging in physical activity for 150 minutes or more weekly reached 59.1% in 2025, while the percentage for the age group of 5 to 17 years was 19%.
Our pride is in our quality
Al-Mutawa affirmed that “our pride is in our quality” extends to the quality of work, organization, and the creation of sports experiences, adding that the Kingdom has become a hub for major championships and events, with the number of international and large-scale sporting events hosted by 2025 exceeding 130 events in various sports. He pointed out that the investment and privatization project enhances the transition of clubs to a new phase of efficiency and sustainability, while the Ministry of Sports announced in June 2026 the registration of more than 80 investment interests for the acquisition of 22 sports clubs.
