The Gulf Cooperation Council countries, along with several Arab countries, Islamic and international organizations, have expressed their strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia's attempts to target cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, endangering civilians and civilian objects.
They affirmed, in statements issued by their foreign ministries, that these attacks represent a blatant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty, a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and a threat to its security and stability as well as to the entire region, warning that the continuation of these attacks could escalate tensions and destabilize the region.
The countries and organizations praised the efforts of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces, their vigilance, and their efficiency in countering Houthi attacks, reiterating their firm rejection of any attempts that target the Kingdom's security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
They renewed their full solidarity with the Kingdom and their support for all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty and security, and to protect its citizens and residents on its territory, emphasizing that targeting civilians and civilian objects constitutes a violation of the rules and provisions of international law.
They also called again on the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and take a firm stance to stop the repeated Houthi terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom, hold the perpetrators accountable, and ensure the implementation of its relevant resolutions.
