يرأس رئيس مجلس الشورى رئيس الاتحاد البرلماني العربي الدكتور عبدالله بن إبراهيم آل الشيخ أعمال الدورة (43) للجنة التنفيذية للاتحاد البرلماني العربي، المقرر عقدها غدًا في القاهرة، بمشاركة ممثلي المجالس والبرلمانات العربية الأعضاء في الاتحاد.
وأكد رئيس مجلس الشورى أن السعودية، بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي العهد تولي العمل العربي المشترك اهتمامًا كبيرًا، وتدعم كل ما من شأنه تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق بين الدول العربية، مشيرًا إلى أن الدبلوماسية البرلمانية تمثل رافدًا مهمًا في توحيد المواقف، ودعم القضايا العربية، وتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وأوضح آل الشيخ أن اجتماع اللجنة التنفيذية يأتي في مرحلة تتطلب مزيدًا من التنسيق البرلماني، وتطوير آليات العمل المشترك بما يرفع فاعليته ويعزز أثره، مؤكدًا أهمية البناء على ما تحقق، وتوجيه الجهود نحو أولويات واضحة وبرامج عملية تسهم في تعزيز حضور الاتحاد ودوره على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.
ويضم وفد مجلس الشورى الأمين العام للمجلس محمد المطيري، وعضو مجلس الشورى عضو اللجنة التنفيذية للاتحاد البرلماني العربي الدكتور عبدالعزيز المهناء.
The Chairman of the Shura Council, Chairman of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Dr. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, will preside over the 43rd session of the Executive Committee of the Arab Parliamentary Union, scheduled to be held tomorrow in Cairo, with the participation of representatives from the councils and parliaments of the Arab member states of the union.
The Chairman of the Shura Council emphasized that Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, places great importance on joint Arab action and supports all efforts aimed at enhancing cooperation and coordination among Arab countries, noting that parliamentary diplomacy represents an important channel for unifying positions, supporting Arab issues, and enhancing security and stability in the region.
Al Sheikh explained that the meeting of the Executive Committee comes at a time that requires further parliamentary coordination and the development of mechanisms for joint work to increase its effectiveness and enhance its impact, stressing the importance of building on what has been achieved and directing efforts towards clear priorities and practical programs that contribute to enhancing the presence and role of the union at both the regional and international levels.
The Shura Council delegation includes the Secretary-General of the Council, Mohammed Al-Mutairi, and a member of the Shura Council and a member of the Executive Committee of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna.
