استقبل المستشار الخاص لخادم الحرمين الشريفين رئيس مجلس أمناء مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية الأمير فيصل بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، في مقر المكتبة بالرياض أمس، وزير المواصلات والاتصالات بمملكة البحرين رئيس مجلس أمناء مركز البحرين للدراسات الإستراتيجية والدولية والطاقة «دراسات» الدكتور الشيخ عبدالله بن أحمد آل خليفة، والوفد المرافق له.
وبحث اللقاء مجالات التعاون العلمي والمعرفي، وسبل تعزيز التكامل بين المراكز البحثية والمكتبات الوطنية في البلدين.
وشهد الأمير فيصل بن سلمان توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية ومركز «دراسات»، وقّعها عن المكتبة الرئيس التنفيذي بالإنابة فيصل بن عبدالعزيز الحمودي، وعن المركز الرئيس التنفيذي عبدالله محمد الأحمد.
وتشمل المذكرة التعاون في المجالات المعرفية والعلمية، وتبادل المعلومات والوثائق والخبرات والزيارات المهنية، ورفع مهارات الموظفين، إلى جانب تنظيم الندوات وجلسات العمل والمؤتمرات، وإعداد البرامج والخطط التدريبية المشتركة؛ بما يخدم البحث العلمي ومجتمعات المعرفة.
وقدّم الدكتور الشيخ عبدالله بن أحمد آل خليفة للأمير فيصل بن سلمان الزمالة الفخرية لمركز «دراسات»، تقديراً لإسهاماته في دعم المعرفة والبحث العلمي وصون الذاكرة الوطنية.
وأكد الأمير فيصل بن سلمان أن المذكرة تمثل امتداداً للشراكة القائمة مع مملكة البحرين في مجالات البحوث والدراسات، ونموذجاً للتكامل بين المؤسسات المعنية بحفظ المعرفة وإنتاجها وإتاحتها.
من جانبه، أعرب الدكتور الشيخ عبدالله بن أحمد آل خليفة عن شكره للأمير فيصل بن سلمان على حفاوة الاستقبال، مشيداً بدور مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية في حفظ الإنتاج الفكري وإتاحته.
ويُعنى مركز البحرين للدراسات الإستراتيجية والدولية والطاقة «دراسات» بإجراء الدراسات والبحوث العلمية في مجالات الإستراتيجية والسياسة الدولية والطاقة، والتعاون مع المراكز والمنظمات العلمية محلياً وإقليمياً ودولياً.
The Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Fahd National Library, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, received yesterday at the library in Riyadh the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies "Draasat," Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, along with his accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed areas of scientific and knowledge cooperation and ways to enhance integration between research centers and national libraries in both countries.
Prince Faisal bin Salman witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the King Fahd National Library and the "Draasat" Center, signed on behalf of the library by the Acting CEO Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Hamoudi, and on behalf of the center by the CEO Abdullah Mohammed Al Ahmad.
The memorandum includes cooperation in knowledge and scientific fields, exchange of information, documents, experiences, and professional visits, as well as enhancing employee skills, in addition to organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences, and preparing joint training programs; all of which serve scientific research and knowledge communities.
Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa presented to Prince Faisal bin Salman an honorary fellowship from the "Draasat" Center, in appreciation of his contributions to supporting knowledge, scientific research, and preserving national memory.
Prince Faisal bin Salman affirmed that the memorandum represents an extension of the existing partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain in the fields of research and studies, and a model for integration between institutions concerned with preserving, producing, and making knowledge available.
For his part, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa expressed his gratitude to Prince Faisal bin Salman for the warm reception, commending the role of the King Fahd National Library in preserving intellectual production and making it accessible.
The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies "Draasat" is concerned with conducting studies and scientific research in the fields of strategy, international politics, and energy, and collaborating with scientific centers and organizations locally, regionally, and internationally.
