توالت الإدانات الدولية لمحاولة مليشيا الحوثي استهداف مكة المكرمة بطائرات مسيّرة، وسط تأكيدات واسعة بأن الاعتداء يمثل انتهاكاً سافراً لسيادة المملكة العربية السعودية وتهديداً لأمنها واستقرارها وسلامة أراضيها، وخرقاً صارخاً للقانون الدولي. وأكدت دول العالم رفضها القاطع لهذا الاعتداء الذي يمس مكانة مكة المكرمة وقدسيتها، ويستفز مشاعر المسلمين، مجدّدة وقوفها وتضامنها الكامل مع المملكة في مواجهة كل ما يهدّد أمنها واستقرارها. وشدّدت المواقف الدولية على أن استهداف مكة المكرمة، بما تمثله من مكانة راسخة في وجدان المسلمين حول العالم، يتجاوز كونه اعتداءً على المملكة، ليشكّل مساساً بمقدسات المسلمين ومشاعرهم، في وقت أكدت فيه الدول والمنظمات المنددة ضرورة احترام حرمة المقدسات الدينية، والالتزام بقواعد القانون الدولي، ورفض استخدام الطائرات المسيّرة لاستهداف المناطق المدنية أو تهديد سلامة السكان.
International condemnations have followed the attempt by the Houthi militia to target Mecca with drones, amidst widespread assurances that the attack represents a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a threat to its security, stability, and territorial integrity, as well as a gross breach of international law. Countries around the world have firmly rejected this aggression, which affects the status and sanctity of Mecca and provokes the feelings of Muslims, reiterating their full support and solidarity with the Kingdom in facing any threats to its security and stability. International positions emphasized that targeting Mecca, which holds a deep significance in the hearts of Muslims worldwide, goes beyond being an attack on the Kingdom; it constitutes an affront to the sanctities and feelings of Muslims. At the same time, the condemning countries and organizations stressed the necessity of respecting the sanctity of religious sites, adhering to the rules of international law, and rejecting the use of drones to target civilian areas or threaten the safety of populations.
