أعربت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية عن إدانة دولة الكويت واستنكارها الشديدين لمحاولة استهداف مكة المكرمة بطائرة مسيّرة أطلقتها ميليشيا الحوثي، مؤكدة أن هذا العمل الجبان والمشين يمثّل تعديًا على حرمة قبلة المسلمين واستهانة بمكانتها الدينية ومساسًا بمشاعر المسلمين.
وأكّدت الوزارة في بيان اليوم- نقلًا عن وكالة أنباء «كونا» الكويتية- تضامن دولة الكويت المطلق مع المملكة العربية السعودية ودعمها لكافة الإجراءات التي تتخذها لصون سيادتها وأمنها وحماية الحرمين الشريفين والحفاظ على حرمتهما، مشيدة بيقظة وكفاءة قوات الدفاع الجوي الملكي السعودي في التصدي لهذه المحاولة، ومشددة على أن أمن المملكة جزء لا يتجزأ من أمن دولة الكويت وأمن دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait's condemnation and strong denunciation of the attempt to target Mecca with a drone launched by the Houthi militia, affirming that this cowardly and disgraceful act represents an assault on the sanctity of the Muslims' qibla, a disregard for its religious significance, and an affront to the feelings of Muslims.
The ministry confirmed in a statement today - reported by the Kuwaiti News Agency "KUNA" - Kuwait's absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to preserve its sovereignty, security, and protect the two holy mosques and maintain their sanctity, praising the vigilance and efficiency of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces in countering this attempt, and emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
