أدان الأمين العام لجامعة الدول العربية نبيل فهمي، بأشد العبارات، استمرار الهجمات التي تستهدف أراضي المملكة العربية السعودية، وما أسفرت عنه من إصابات وأضرار مادية، باعتبارها انتهاكاً مرفوضاً لسيادة المملكة وأمنها وسلامة أراضيها، وتهديداً لحياة المدنيين وأمن واستقرار المنطقة.
تهديد أمن واستقرار المنطقة
وأكّد الأمين العام تضامنه الكامل مع المملكة، ودعمه لما تتخذه من إجراءات لحماية أمنها وسيادتها وسلامة مواطنيها، مشدداً على أن أمن المملكة جزء لا يتجزأ من الأمن القومي العربي، وأن استمرار استهداف أراضي الدول العربية من شأنه زيادة حدة التوتر والتصعيد وتهديد أمن واستقرار المنطقة.
وجددت جامعة الدول العربية رفضها القاطع لهذه الاعتداءات، ودعت إلى وقفها فوراً، واحترام سيادة الدول العربية وسلامة أراضيها، والالتزام بقواعد القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، بما يحول دون اتساع دائرة المواجهة وانزلاق المنطقة إلى مزيد من التصعيد وعدم الاستقرار.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, strongly condemned the ongoing attacks targeting the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the resulting injuries and material damages, considering them an unacceptable violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, as well as a threat to the lives of civilians and the security and stability of the region.
Threat to the Security and Stability of the Region
The Secretary-General affirmed his full solidarity with the Kingdom and his support for the measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Arab national security, and that the continued targeting of Arab countries' territories is likely to increase tension and escalation, threatening the security and stability of the region.
The Arab League reiterated its firm rejection of these aggressions, calling for their immediate cessation, respecting the sovereignty of Arab countries and the integrity of their territories, and adhering to the rules of international law and the United Nations Charter, in order to prevent the escalation of confrontation and the region from slipping into further escalation and instability.
