قرر مجلس إدارة شركة «البحر الأحمر العالمية»، في اجتماعه أخيراً، قبول استقالة المهندس هاني بن عثمان باعثمان من منصبه رئيساً تنفيذياً للمجموعة، مع بقائه عضواً منتدباً لضمان سلاسة المرحلة الانتقالية.
وأوضحت الشركة، في بيان، أن هذه الخطوة جاءت بعد إتمام فترة الإشعار المحددة بثلاثة أشهر، وتزامناً مع استكمال مرحلة إعادة الهيكلة الشاملة. وشملت تلك الجهود تقليص الحضور في الأسواق الخارجية غير المجدية اقتصادياً، والتركيز كلياً على الأنشطة الجوهرية للشركة في قطاع النفط والغاز داخل المملكة عبر مصنع الجبيل.
وسيواصل باعثمان، بصفته عضواً منتدباً، دعم الأهداف الإستراتيجية ومتابعة المشاريع التنفيذية الجارية، وفي مقدمتها ملف زيادة رأس المال، فضلاً عن الإشراف المباشر على تسليم المهام لخليفته.
وفي السياق ذاته، أصدر المجلس قراراً بتعيين المهندس غسان بن نبيل نصيف رئيساً تنفيذياً جديداً للمجموعة اعتباراً من التاريخ ذاته. ويحمل نصيف سجلاً مهنياً وتنفيذياً يمتد لأكثر من 25 عاماً، تقلَّد خلالها مناصب متقدمة في مجالات الاستثمار، المصرفية للشركات، الاستشارات المالية، وإدارة عمليات التحول المؤسسي وإعادة الهيكلة.
The Board of Directors of "Red Sea International" has decided, in its recent meeting, to accept the resignation of Engineer Hani bin Othman Baithman from his position as CEO of the group, while he will remain an executive member to ensure a smooth transition.
The company clarified, in a statement, that this step came after completing the three-month notice period, coinciding with the completion of the comprehensive restructuring phase. These efforts included reducing presence in economically unviable foreign markets and focusing entirely on the company's core activities in the oil and gas sector within the Kingdom through the Jubail plant.
Baithman will continue, as an executive member, to support strategic objectives and oversee ongoing executive projects, foremost among them the capital increase file, in addition to directly supervising the handover of responsibilities to his successor.
In this context, the council issued a decision to appoint Engineer Ghassan bin Nabil Nasif as the new CEO of the group effective from the same date. Nasif has a professional and executive record spanning over 25 years, during which he has held senior positions in investment, corporate banking, financial consulting, and managing institutional transformation and restructuring operations.
