عُقد اجتماع كبار المسؤولين بين مجلس التعاون وجمهورية الصين الشعبية، بمشاركة كبار المسؤولين في وزارات الخارجية بدول المجلس، ووفد جمهورية الصين الشعبية، والأمانة العامة لمجلس التعاون، اليوم (الخميس)، بمقر الأمانة العامة بالرياض.
وأوضح الأمين المساعد للشؤون السياسية والمفاوضات بالأمانة العامة لمجلس التعاون الدكتور عبدالعزيز العويشق أن الاجتماع يأتي في إطار الشراكة الإستراتيجية بين مجلس التعاون وجمهورية الصين الشعبية، وامتداداً لمخرجات القمة الخليجية-الصينية الأولى التي عُقدت في الرياض عام 2022م، مؤكداً أهمية تعزيز الشراكة الإستراتيجية بين الجانبين بما يحقق مصالحهما المشتركة.
وجرى خلال الاجتماع بحث أوجه التعاون المشترك وسبل تطويرها في إطار خطة العمل المشترك للفترة 2023م-2027م، وتبادل الرؤى بشأن مستقبل العلاقات الخليجية-الصينية.
وناقش الاجتماع الاعتداءات الإيرانية على دول مجلس التعاون وتداعياتها على أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، إلى جانب عدد من القضايا السياسية والأمنية الإقليمية، وفي مقدمتها أمن الممرات والملاحة البحرية، وأمن الطاقة، ومكافحة الإرهاب.
وأكد الجانبان أهمية مواصلة الحوار والتنسيق بشأن القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
A meeting of senior officials between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the People's Republic of China was held today (Thursday) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh, with the participation of senior officials from the foreign ministries of the member states, the delegation of the People's Republic of China, and the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Negotiations at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Owaisheq, explained that the meeting comes within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the People's Republic of China, and as a continuation of the outcomes of the first Gulf-Chinese summit held in Riyadh in 2022, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the strategic partnership between the two sides to achieve their common interests.
During the meeting, the aspects of joint cooperation and ways to develop them were discussed within the framework of the joint action plan for the period 2023-2027, and visions regarding the future of Gulf-Chinese relations were exchanged.
The meeting addressed Iranian aggressions against the Gulf Cooperation Council states and their implications for the security and stability of the region, along with several regional political and security issues, foremost among them the security of maritime corridors and navigation, energy security, and counter-terrorism.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest, and supporting efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region.
