أعلنت مؤسسة محمد بن سلمان «مسك»، بالتعاون مع مكتب الأمم المتحدة للشباب، تأسيس «الشبكة العالمية للشباب»، وهي منصة دولية تربط المنظمات المستقلة المعنية بخدمة الشباب بمسارات القيادة وصنع السياسات عالمياً.
وجاء الإعلان، خلال انعقاد جمعية الشباب في جنيف، بالتزامن مع يوم الشباب العالمي، على أن تُطلق الشبكة رسمياً خلال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك سبتمبر القادم.
وتهدف الشبكة إلى تمكين الشباب من المشاركة في صياغة السياسات وصنع القرار، وتعزيز حضور الأصوات الشبابية المتنوعة، وفتح مسارات للوصول إلى منصات الأمم المتحدة والمنتديات العالمية، إلى جانب تزويد المنظمات الأعضاء بالأدوات والبيانات والمعرفة.
وتضم الشبكة منظمات مستقلة تُعنى بالسياسات والتعليم والمشاركة المدنية، وتتطلع من خلال أعضائها المؤسسين إلى تمثيل أكثر من 20 مليون شاب حول العالم.
The Mohammed bin Salman Foundation "Misk," in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Youth, announced the establishment of the "Global Youth Network," an international platform that connects independent organizations concerned with serving youth with leadership and policy-making pathways globally.
The announcement came during the Youth Assembly in Geneva, coinciding with World Youth Day, with the network set to be officially launched during the United Nations General Assembly in New York next September.
The network aims to empower youth to participate in policy formulation and decision-making, enhance the presence of diverse youth voices, and open pathways to access United Nations platforms and global forums, in addition to providing member organizations with tools, data, and knowledge.
The network includes independent organizations focused on policy, education, and civic engagement, and through its founding members, it aims to represent over 20 million young people around the world.
