أعلنت مؤسسة محمد بن سلمان (مسك) بالتعاون مع مكتب الأمم المتحدة للشباب، اليوم، تأسيس الشبكة العالمية للشباب، وهي شبكة دولية جديدة تربط المنظمات العالمية المستقلة العاملة في خدمة الشباب بمسارات القيادة وصنع السياسات على المستوى العالمي.
وجاء الإعلان خلال انعقاد جمعية الشباب (AFS) في جنيف، تزامناً مع يوم الشباب العالمي، وستطلق الشبكة رسمياً خلال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في سبتمبر 2026 في مدينة نيويورك.
وتُعد الشبكة العالمية للشباب أول منصة من نوعها تؤسسها مؤسسة مسك بالتعاون مع مكتب الأمم المتحدة للشباب، إذ تجمع منظمات مستقلة معنية بخدمة الشباب من مختلف المناطق، وتقدم مسارات مصممة بعناية تمكن الشباب من المشاركة في صياغة السياسات وصنع القرار على المستوى العالمي، وتنطلق الشبكة اليوم من شراكة تجمع مؤسسة مسك بالأمم المتحدة منذ عام 2018.
وقال الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤسسة مسك الدكتور بدر البدر: من خلال الشبكة العالمية للشباب، نجمع الشباب وصناع القرار للإسهام معاً في صياغة السياسات الدولية، ونحول رؤاهم إلى أدوات عمل وإستراتيجيات ميدانية يصممونها لمعالجة تحديات عالمهم.
وبيّن رئيس مكتب الأمم المتحدة للشباب والأمين العام المساعد لشؤون الشباب فيليبي بولير أن الفرص المستدامة للشباب ستتيح لهم تأثيراً حقيقياً في صناعة القرار على المستوى العالمي، مؤكداً أن الشبكة العالمية للشباب ستبني هذه البنية مدعومةً بالشراكة بين مكتب الأمم المتحدة للشباب ومؤسسة مسك.
وتعمل الشبكة على أربع ركائز هي: تعزيز قدرات الشباب في مجالي السياسات العامة والتمثيل، وفتح مسارات واضحة للوصول إلى منصات الأمم المتحدة والمنتديات العالمية، وتعزيز حضور أصوات الشباب المتنوعة والفئات الأقل تمثيلاً، وتزويد المنظمات الأعضاء بالأدوات والبيانات والمعرفة المشتركة.
وتضم الشبكة في عضويتها منظمات مستقلة تُركز على خدمة الشباب في مجالات السياسات والتعليم والمشاركة المدنية، حيث تتطلع الشبكة من خلال أعضائها المؤسسين إلى تمثيل أكثر من 20 مليون شاب حول العالم.
The Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Youth, announced today the establishment of the Global Youth Network, a new international network that connects independent global organizations working to serve youth with pathways for leadership and policy-making at the global level.
The announcement came during the Youth Assembly (AFS) in Geneva, coinciding with World Youth Day, and the network will be officially launched during the United Nations General Assembly in September 2026 in New York City.
The Global Youth Network is the first platform of its kind established by the Misk Foundation in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Youth, as it brings together independent organizations concerned with serving youth from various regions and provides carefully designed pathways that enable young people to participate in shaping policies and decision-making at the global level. The network today stems from a partnership between the Misk Foundation and the United Nations that has been ongoing since 2018.
The CEO of the Misk Foundation, Dr. Badr Al Badr, stated: "Through the Global Youth Network, we bring together youth and decision-makers to collaboratively contribute to the formulation of international policies, transforming their visions into actionable tools and field strategies that they design to address the challenges of their world."
Felipe Boller, Head of the United Nations Office for Youth and Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, indicated that sustainable opportunities for youth will allow them to have a real impact on decision-making at the global level, emphasizing that the Global Youth Network will build this framework supported by the partnership between the United Nations Office for Youth and the Misk Foundation.
The network operates on four pillars: enhancing the capacities of youth in the areas of public policy and representation, opening clear pathways to access United Nations platforms and global forums, amplifying the voices of diverse youth and underrepresented groups, and providing member organizations with tools, data, and shared knowledge.
The network includes independent organizations focused on serving youth in the fields of policy, education, and civic engagement, with the network aiming, through its founding members, to represent over 20 million young people around the world.
