رحّب الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، بتوقيع المملكة العربية السعودية وتركيا وباكستان «اتفاقية مكة للدفاع المشترك»، واصفًا الاتفاقية بأنها «خطوة كبيرة وجريئة ومهمة».
وقال الرئيس ترمب، في منشور عبر حسابه على منصة «تروث سوشيال»: إنه سعيد برؤية الدول الثلاث توقّع الاتفاقية، مشيرًا إلى أنها تعكس تقارب دول المنطقة وتعزّز قدرتها على الدفاع عن نفسها بصورة أكثر فاعلية.
وهنأ الرئيس الأمريكي قيادات المملكة وتركيا وباكستان بهذه الخطوة، مؤكدًا أهمية الاتفاقية باعتبارها خطوة أولى مهمة.
