The National Center of Meteorology expected in its weather report for today (Saturday) that the weather will remain hot to very hot in the Eastern region and parts of the Riyadh and Qassim regions, with thunderstorms accompanied by hail showers in parts of the highlands of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah.
The impact of active winds stirring up dust and sand will continue in parts of the Tabuk and Najran regions, reaching near-zero or almost zero visibility in the coastal areas of the Madinah and Makkah regions, extending along the coastal road to Jazan.
The report indicated that the surface wind movement over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 15-32 km/h in the northern part, and northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 22-46 km/h in the central and southern parts, reaching over 55 km/h with the formation of thunderstorm clouds in the southern part. The wave height will range from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern part, and from one and a half meters to two and a half meters in the central and southern parts, reaching over two and a half meters with the formation of thunderstorm clouds in the southern part. The sea condition will be light to moderate waves in the northern part and moderate to rough waves in the central and southern parts.
Meanwhile, the wind movement over the Arabian Gulf will be northeasterly to northwesterly, gradually shifting during the evening in the northern and southern parts to southwesterly to westerly at a speed of 10-26 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one meter, and the sea condition will be light waves.
