حقق المنتخب السعودي للمواصفات ثلاث جوائز دولية في الدورة الحادية والعشرين من الأولمبياد الدولي للمواصفات (The 21st International Standards Olympiad)، التي تستضيفها جمهورية كوريا خلال الفترة من 12 حتى 14 أغسطس الجاري، بمشاركة 105 طلاب وطالبات يمثلون 11 دولة، في إنجاز جديد يضاف إلى رصيد المملكة في المنافسات الدولية.
وحصدت المملكة الميدالية البلاتينية، وهي أعلى جوائز الأولمبياد وتُمنح لفريق واحد فقط في المنافسة، إلى جانب ميدالية فضية وأخرى برونزية، بعد تأهيل الطلبة من مؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع (موهبة) ووزارة التعليم والهيئة السعودية للمواصفات والمقاييس والجودة.
وحقق فريق الطالبات من المرحلة المتوسطة الميدالية البلاتينية، وضم زهراء بنت رياض أبو كبوس من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بالمنطقة الشرقية، ويمان بنت أيمن الزهر من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة عسير، وهيا بنت عادل آل سليمان من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بالمنطقة الشرقية.
كما حقق فريق الطلاب من المرحلة المتوسطة الميدالية الفضية، وضم حسن بن إبراهيم حسوبة من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة المدينة المنورة، وعبدالإله بن سهيل باجمال من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمحافظة جدة، وريان بن محمد اللقماني من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بالمنطقة الشرقية.
ونال فريق الطالبات من المرحلة المتوسطة الميدالية البرونزية، وضم لينة بنت أشرف الفقيه من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بالمنطقة الشرقية، ووجد بنت إيهاب حسوبة من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة المدينة المنورة، وميان بنت زهير خان من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة مكة المكرمة.
وتُعد الميدالية البلاتينية الأولى للمملكة في تاريخ مشاركاتها في الأولمبياد، وتمثل أعلى جائزة في المسابقة، إذ تُمنح لفريق واحد فقط من بين جميع الفرق المشاركة، وتحمل جائزة رئيس وزراء جمهورية كوريا.
ويأتي هذا الإنجاز امتدادًا للنتائج التي حققتها المملكة في النسخة الماضية من الأولمبياد، التي حصد خلالها الطلبة السعوديون ثلاث ميداليات، بواقع ميدالية ذهبية وميداليتين فضيتين.
وبهذه النتائج، ارتفع رصيد المملكة في الأولمبياد الدولي للمواصفات، منذ بدء مشاركتها عام 2024، إلى ثماني جوائز دولية، بواقع ميدالية بلاتينية، وميدالية ذهبية، وثلاث ميداليات فضية، وميداليتين برونزيتين، وجائزة شرف.
ويهدف الأولمبياد الدولي للمواصفات إلى تعزيز وعي الطلبة بأهمية المواصفات القياسية ودورها في الحياة اليومية والاقتصاد والصناعة، وتنمية مهارات العمل الجماعي والتفكير والتحليل، وتطبيق مفاهيم المواصفات والجودة في مواجهة التحديات المختلفة.
The Saudi national team for standards has achieved three international awards at the 21st International Standards Olympiad, hosted by the Republic of Korea from August 12 to 14, with the participation of 105 students representing 11 countries, in a new achievement added to the Kingdom's record in international competitions.
The Kingdom won the platinum medal, the highest award of the Olympiad, which is granted to only one team in the competition, along with a silver medal and a bronze medal, after qualifying students from the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the Ministry of Education, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.
The middle school girls' team won the platinum medal, which included Zahra bint Riyadh Abu Kabous from the Eastern Province Education Administration, Yaman bint Ayman Al-Zahr from the Asir Education Administration, and Haya bint Adel Al-Sulaiman from the Eastern Province Education Administration.
The middle school boys' team won the silver medal, which included Hassan bin Ibrahim Hasouba from the Medina Education Administration, Abdulilah bin Suhail Bajamal from the Jeddah Education Administration, and Rayan bin Mohammed Al-Luqmani from the Eastern Province Education Administration.
The middle school girls' team also won the bronze medal, which included Lina bint Ashraf Al-Faqih from the Eastern Province Education Administration, Wajd bint Ihab Hasouba from the Medina Education Administration, and Mayan bint Zuhair Khan from the Makkah Education Administration.
The platinum medal is the first for the Kingdom in its history of participation in the Olympiad and represents the highest award in the competition, as it is awarded to only one team among all participating teams, carrying the prize of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea.
This achievement extends the results that the Kingdom achieved in the last edition of the Olympiad, where Saudi students won three medals, including one gold medal and two silver medals.
With these results, the Kingdom's tally in the International Standards Olympiad, since it began its participation in 2024, has risen to eight international awards, including one platinum medal, one gold medal, three silver medals, two bronze medals, and one honorary award.
The International Standards Olympiad aims to enhance students' awareness of the importance of standard specifications and their role in daily life, the economy, and industry, as well as to develop teamwork, thinking, and analytical skills, and to apply concepts of standards and quality in facing various challenges.
