تصدرت المملكة العربية السعودية نتائج النسخة الثالثة من أولمبياد العلوم النووية الدولي «إنسو 2026»، محققةً المركز الأول ولقب «سفير العلوم النووية»، إلى جانب 4 جوائز دولية، هي؛ ميداليتان ذهبيتان وميدالية واحدة فضية، وميدالية أخرى برونزية، في إنجاز دولي جديد يعزز حضور المملكة في المنافسات العلمية العالمية، ويؤكد تميز طلبتها في مجالات العلوم والتقنيات المتقدمة.
وتُوّج الطالب السعودي أمجد محمود عيسى آل درويش بالمركز الأول والميدالية الذهبية في الأولمبياد، كما حصد لقب «سفير العلوم النووية»، بعد تحقيقه أعلى مجموع في الاختبارين النظري والعملي بين المتنافسين، كما حققت الطالبة جنى صالح عبدالله السبيل الميدالية الذهبية، وفازت بجائزة أفضل طالبة في الأولمبياد المقدمة من الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، فيما حقق الطالب عبدالعزيز عبدالمحسن الشريط الميدالية الفضية، وحاز الطالب صالح مبارك ضيف الله الحربي الميدالية البرونزية.
وبهذه المناسبة، رفع الأمين العام لمؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع «موهبة» عبدالعزيز بن صالح الكريديس، التهنئة إلى خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وإلى ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، بمناسبة تصدر المملكة نتائج أولمبياد العلوم النووية الدولي 2026.
وأكد أن هذا الإنجاز يأتي امتداداً للدعم والرعاية اللذين يحظى بهما أبناء وبنات الوطن من القيادة الرشيدة، وحرصها على الاستثمار في المواطن، وتنمية قدراته، وتمكينه من المنافسة عالمياً في المجالات العلمية ذات الأولوية، بما يعزز إسهامه في بناء اقتصاد قائم على المعرفة والابتكار.
وثمّن الكريديس الشراكة الإستراتيجية مع وزارة التعليم، وما أثمرته من تكامل في اكتشاف الطلبة الموهوبين ورعايتهم وإعدادهم للمنافسات العلمية الدولية، مشيداً بالشراكة مع مدينة الملك عبدالله للطاقة الذرية والمتجددة، وجامعة الملك عبدالعزيز، وبجهود جميع الجهات واللجان الوطنية التي أسهمت في تنظيم واستضافة الأولمبياد.
وأشار إلى أن نجاح المملكة في استضافة هذا الحدث الدولي، بالتزامن مع تصدر طلبتها نتائجه، يعكس تطور منظومة الموهبة والإبداع في المملكة، وكفاءة برامج إعداد المنتخبات العلمية الوطنية، إلى جانب ما تمتلكه المملكة من قدرات تنظيمية تؤهلها لاستضافة أبرز المحافل العلمية الدولية وفق أعلى المعايير.
وبيّن أن تحقيق المركز الأول في تخصص علمي دقيق كالعلوم النووية يؤكد قدرة الطلبة السعوديين على المنافسة في المجالات العلمية المتقدمة، ويسهم في بناء قاعدة وطنية من الكفاءات البشرية المؤهلة للإسهام في مستقبل العلوم والتقنيات وتطبيقاتها السلمية، بما يواكب مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
ويأتي الإنجاز ثمرة برامج إعداد وتأهيل علمية مكثفة نفذتها «موهبة» بالشراكة مع وزارة التعليم، تضمنت برامج تدريبية متخصصة لتنمية معارف الطلبة في العلوم النووية، وتطوير مهاراتهم في التحليل والاستدلال وحل المسائل العلمية المتقدمة، ورفع مستوى جاهزيتهم للمنافسة الدولية.
ويُعد أولمبياد العلوم النووية الدولي، الذي أقرته الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية 2024، منافسة علمية دولية تهدف إلى تنمية معارف الطلبة ومهاراتهم في العلوم النووية وتطبيقاتها السلمية، وتشجيع الأجيال الشابة على التخصص في المجالات العلمية المرتبطة بها، إلى جانب تعزيز التبادل العلمي والثقافي بين الطلبة من مختلف دول العالم.
واستضافت المملكة النسخة الثالثة من الأولمبياد للمرة الأولى في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، بمدينة جدة خلال الفترة من 2 حتى 9 أغسطس 2026، بمشاركة 120 طالباً ومختصاً علمياً من 19 دولة، بتنظيم مشترك بين وزارة التعليم، ومؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع «موهبة»، ومدينة الملك عبدالله للطاقة الذرية والمتجددة، واستضافة جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز، تحت شعار «عقول متوهجة لمستقبل واعد».
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia topped the results of the third edition of the International Nuclear Science Olympiad "INSO 2026," achieving first place and the title of "Nuclear Science Ambassador," alongside 4 international awards: two gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal. This new international achievement enhances the Kingdom's presence in global scientific competitions and confirms the excellence of its students in the fields of advanced sciences and technologies.
The Saudi student Amjad Mahmoud Issa Al-Darwish was awarded first place and the gold medal in the Olympiad, also earning the title of "Nuclear Science Ambassador" after achieving the highest total in both the theoretical and practical tests among competitors. Additionally, the student Juna Saleh Abdullah Al-Sabeel won the gold medal and received the award for Best Student in the Olympiad presented by the International Atomic Energy Agency, while the student Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Al-Sharait won the silver medal, and the student Saleh Mubarak Dufallah Al-Harbi received the bronze medal.
On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Talent and Creativity "Mawhiba," Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khuraidis, extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, on the occasion of the Kingdom's top ranking in the International Nuclear Science Olympiad 2026.
He emphasized that this achievement is a continuation of the support and care that the sons and daughters of the nation receive from the wise leadership, and its commitment to investing in citizens, developing their capabilities, and enabling them to compete globally in priority scientific fields, thereby enhancing their contribution to building a knowledge-based and innovative economy.
Al-Khuraidis praised the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education and what it has yielded in terms of integration in discovering and nurturing talented students and preparing them for international scientific competitions. He commended the partnership with the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, King Abdulaziz University, and the efforts of all national bodies and committees that contributed to organizing and hosting the Olympiad.
He pointed out that the Kingdom's success in hosting this international event, coinciding with its students topping the results, reflects the development of the talent and creativity system in the Kingdom and the efficiency of the programs preparing national scientific teams, alongside the organizational capabilities that qualify the Kingdom to host the most prominent international scientific forums according to the highest standards.
He indicated that achieving first place in a precise scientific field such as nuclear science confirms the ability of Saudi students to compete in advanced scientific fields and contributes to building a national base of qualified human competencies capable of contributing to the future of sciences and technologies and their peaceful applications, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
This achievement is the result of intensive scientific preparation and qualification programs implemented by "Mawhiba" in partnership with the Ministry of Education, which included specialized training programs to enhance students' knowledge in nuclear sciences, develop their skills in analysis, reasoning, and solving advanced scientific problems, and raise their readiness for international competition.
The International Nuclear Science Olympiad, approved by the International Atomic Energy Agency in 2024, is an international scientific competition aimed at developing students' knowledge and skills in nuclear sciences and their peaceful applications, encouraging young generations to specialize in related scientific fields, and enhancing scientific and cultural exchange among students from various countries around the world.
The Kingdom hosted the third edition of the Olympiad for the first time in the Middle East, in the city of Jeddah from August 2 to 9, 2026, with the participation of 120 students and scientific specialists from 19 countries, organized jointly by the Ministry of Education, the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Talent and Creativity "Mawhiba," and the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, hosted by King Abdulaziz University, under the slogan "Brilliant Minds for a Promising Future."
