اليوم (الثلاثاء).. تبدأ مرحلة «الفرص المتبقية» لخريجي الثانوية عبر التقديم المباشر، وتستهدف المرحلة -التي تمتد حتى نهاية أغسطس الجاري- الطلبة غير المقبولين أو من تعثروا في تأكيد رغباتهم.
وأوضحت منصة «قبول» النافذة الرسمية للتقديم للجامعات أن مرحلة «الفرص المتبقية» تتيح المقاعد الدراسية بشكل مباشر دون فرز إضافي وهي مخصصة للمتقدّمين الذين لم يحصلوا على قبول سابق والطلبة الذين لم يؤكدوا قبولهم خلال المهلة المحددة، أو من ألغوا قبولهم أثناء مرحلة تأكيد الاختيار. وأكدت المنصة أن التقديم يتطلب استيفاء الدرجة الموزونة وتحقيق اشتراطات التخصص.
وكان عدد من أولياء أمور خريجي وخريجات المرحلة الثانوية أعربوا عن أملهم عبر «عكاظ»، في تمديد مرحلة استمرارية الفرص المتبقية إلى ما بعد 31 أغسطس، وعزوا ذلك إلى بدء القبول المبدئي في الكليات العسكرية والأمنية التي يتجه لها عدد كبير من الطلبة، مشيرين إلى أن تمديد الفترة الزمنية إلى ما قبل بداية العام الجامعي يمكن الجهات التعليمية من تحديد الشواغر لديها بعد الانسحاب الرسمي لبعض المقبولين سابقاً.
وأضافوا أنه بالإمكان إعلان هذه المقاعد الشاغرة إما عن طريق المنصة مباشرة أو عن طريق عمادات القبول والتسجيل بالقطاعات التعليمية. وقالوا إن هذه الآلية ستوفر مقاعد جديدة أو ترقية بعض رغبات المقبولين والمقبولات في الكليات التي تشهد إقبالاً كبيراً مثل كليات الطب أو الهندسة.
Today (Tuesday).. the "Remaining Opportunities" phase for high school graduates begins through direct application, targeting students who were not accepted or those who struggled to confirm their preferences.
The "Qabul" platform, the official window for university applications, clarified that the "Remaining Opportunities" phase allows for direct access to study seats without additional sorting. It is designated for applicants who did not receive prior acceptance and students who did not confirm their acceptance within the specified timeframe, or those who canceled their acceptance during the confirmation phase. The platform confirmed that the application requires meeting the weighted score and fulfilling the specialization requirements.
A number of parents of high school graduates expressed their hope through "Okaz" for an extension of the Remaining Opportunities phase beyond August 31, attributing this to the commencement of preliminary acceptance in military and security colleges, which many students are heading towards. They noted that extending the timeframe until just before the start of the academic year would allow educational institutions to identify vacancies after the official withdrawal of some previously accepted students.
They added that these vacant seats could be announced either directly through the platform or through the admissions and registration deanships in the educational sectors. They stated that this mechanism would provide new seats or upgrade some preferences for accepted students in colleges that experience high demand, such as medical or engineering colleges.
