أكد أمير منطقة نجران الأمير جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد، أن المخدرات آفةٌ تهدد الدين والعقل، وتستهدف أمن المجتمع واستقراره، مشيداً بما حققته المملكة من نجاحات كبيرة في مكافحتها والحد من انتشارها، والتصدي لمروجيها ومهربيها، بفضل ما توليه القيادة الرشيدة من دعم واهتمام للجهات الأمنية.
وقال في كلمة وجّهها لمنسوبي الإمارة: «إن التوعية بأضرارها وتعزيز الوعي بمخاطرها مسؤوليةٌ مجتمعية مشتركة، تبدأ من الأسرة، وتتطلب تكامل جهود الجهات الحكومية والمؤسسات التعليمية والإعلامية، لحماية المجتمع من هذه الآفة».
جاء ذلك خلال جولته، اليوم، في المعرض التوعوي الذي أقامته إمارة المنطقة، ممثلةً في الإدارة العامة للموارد البشرية، بمقر الإمارة، تزامناً مع الأسبوع الخليجي واليوم العالمي لمكافحة المخدرات بالمنطقة، إذ اطّلع على محتويات المعرض، واستمع إلى شرح عن أهدافه والبرامج التوعوية المصاحبة، وما يضمه من أركان ورسائل تثقيفية للتعريف بمخاطر المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية، وأهمية الوقاية منها، واستعراض جهود الجهات الأمنية في مكافحتها.
وشارك في المعرض إدارة مكافحة المخدرات بالمنطقة، وجامعة نجران، ومجمع إرادة والصحة النفسية، وفرع هيئة الهلال الأحمر السعودي، وجمعية عزم للتعافي من الإدمان، وجمعية عونك الصحية، إلى جانب جهاتٍ متطوعة من القطاع الخاص، فيما نُظِّمت محاضرة توعوية لمنسوبي الإمارة، بالتعاون مع جامعة نجران، تناولت أضرار المخدرات وآثارها على الفرد والمجتمع.
The Prince of Najran, Prince Jalwa bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, confirmed that drugs are a scourge that threatens religion and reason, targeting the security and stability of society. He praised the significant successes achieved by the Kingdom in combating and limiting their spread, as well as confronting their dealers and traffickers, thanks to the support and attention given by the wise leadership to security agencies.
In a speech directed to the staff of the emirate, he said: "Raising awareness about the harms of drugs and enhancing awareness of their dangers is a shared societal responsibility that starts from the family and requires the integration of efforts from government agencies, educational institutions, and media, to protect society from this scourge."
This came during his tour today at the awareness exhibition organized by the emirate, represented by the General Administration of Human Resources, at the emirate's headquarters, coinciding with the Gulf Week and the International Day Against Drug Abuse in the region. He reviewed the contents of the exhibition and listened to an explanation about its objectives and the accompanying awareness programs, as well as the educational sections and messages aimed at introducing the dangers of drugs and psychoactive substances, the importance of prevention, and showcasing the efforts of security agencies in combating them.
The exhibition featured participation from the Drug Enforcement Administration in the region, Najran University, the Irada and Mental Health Complex, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority branch, the Azm Association for Addiction Recovery, the Awnak Health Association, along with volunteer entities from the private sector. An awareness lecture was organized for the staff of the emirate, in collaboration with Najran University, addressing the harms of drugs and their effects on individuals and society.
