The National Center of Meteorology expected in its weather report today (Thursday) that the impact of active winds stirring up dust and sand will continue in parts of the regions of Najran, Riyadh, Eastern Province, Ha'il, Medina, and Mecca, as well as along the coastal road leading to Jazan. Meanwhile, the opportunity remains for thunderstorms accompanied by active winds in parts of the regions of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha.
The report indicated that the surface winds over the Red Sea are northwesterly in the northern and central parts, shifting in the evening to northwesterly to northerly in the southern part at a speed of (18 - 40) km/h, reaching (45) km/h towards the Gulf of Aqaba, with wave heights ranging from one to two meters, and the sea condition is moderate.
In the Arabian Gulf, the surface winds are northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts at a speed of (15 - 40) km/h, reaching (45) km/h in the central part, and northwesterly to southwesterly at a speed of (12 - 28) km/h in the southern part, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters, reaching two meters in the central part, and the sea condition is light to moderate.
