أعلنت الهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض إطلاق المجموعة الرابعة من برنامج تطوير محاور الطرق الدائرية والرئيسة في مدينة الرياض بتكلفة إجمالية 9.8 مليار ريال. يشمل المشروع تطوير أربعة طرق رئيسة بإجمالي أطوال 40 كيلومتراً؛ تتضمن 14 تقاطعاً رئيساً، و33 جسراً، وخمسة أنفاق، وستة جسور للمشاة، بطاقة استيعابية تتجاوز 950 ألف مركبة يومياً، مما يسهم في رفع كفاءة الشبكة المرورية وتعزيز الترابط بين أجزاء المدينة.
وتتضمن مشاريع المجموعة الرابعة تطوير طريق الشيخ جابر الصباح – الجزء الجنوبي بطول 12 كيلومتراً، ويشمل تنفيذ ستة تقاطعات رئيسة و22 جسراً وثلاثة أنفاق، بطاقة استيعابية تصل إلى 350 ألف مركبة يومياً.
كما يشمل تطوير طريق الأمير تركي بن عبدالعزيز الأول – الجزء الأوسط بطول تسعة كيلومترات، ويتضمن ثلاثة تقاطعات رئيسة وستة جسور ونفقين، بطاقة استيعابية تبلغ 200 ألف مركبة يومياً. ويتضمن المشروع الثالث تطوير طريق الأمير مشعل بن عبدالعزيز بطول ستة كيلومترات، ويشمل تنفيذ تقاطعين رئيسين وجسرين، إضافة إلى أربعة جسور للمشاة، بطاقة استيعابية تصل إلى 200 ألف مركبة يومياً، فيما يشمل المشروع الرابع تطوير طريق نجم الدين الأيوبي – الجزء الغربي بطول 13 كيلومتراً، ويتضمن ثلاثة تقاطعات رئيسة وثلاثة جسور وجسرين للمشاة، بطاقة استيعابية تبلغ 200 ألف مركبة يومياً.
ويأتي إطلاق هذه المجموعة امتداداً لبرنامج تطوير محاور الطرق الدائرية والرئيسة، بما يعكس تكامل التخطيط طويل المدى لتطوير شبكة الطرق في مدينة الرياض، ويسهم في تقليل زمن الرحلات اليومية، ومعالجة الاختناقات المرورية، ورفع كفاءة التنقل، وتعزيز جودة الحياة من خلال تطوير شبكة طرق مترابطة تدعم التوسع العمراني وتعزز تنافسية الرياض بوصفها مدينة عالمية تواكب استعداداتها لاستضافة الفعاليات الكبرى.
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has announced the launch of the fourth group of the development program for the circular and main road axes in Riyadh, with a total cost of 9.8 billion riyals. The project includes the development of four main roads with a total length of 40 kilometers; it includes 14 main intersections, 33 bridges, five tunnels, and six pedestrian bridges, with a capacity exceeding 950,000 vehicles daily, contributing to improving the efficiency of the traffic network and enhancing connectivity between different parts of the city.
The fourth group of projects includes the development of Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah Road - the southern part, which is 12 kilometers long, and includes the implementation of six main intersections, 22 bridges, and three tunnels, with a capacity of up to 350,000 vehicles daily.
It also includes the development of Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al-Awwal Road - the middle part, which is nine kilometers long, and involves three main intersections, six bridges, and two tunnels, with a capacity of 200,000 vehicles daily. The third project involves the development of Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Road, which is six kilometers long, and includes the implementation of two main intersections and two bridges, in addition to four pedestrian bridges, with a capacity of up to 200,000 vehicles daily, while the fourth project includes the development of Najm Al-Din Al-Ayubi Road - the western part, which is 13 kilometers long, and includes three main intersections, three bridges, and two pedestrian bridges, with a capacity of 200,000 vehicles daily.
The launch of this group comes as an extension of the development program for the circular and main road axes, reflecting the integration of long-term planning for the development of the road network in Riyadh, and contributing to reducing daily travel times, addressing traffic congestion, enhancing mobility efficiency, and improving the quality of life through the development of an interconnected road network that supports urban expansion and enhances Riyadh's competitiveness as a global city preparing to host major events.
