أكدت مساعد رئيس مجلس الشورى الدكتورة حنان عبدالرحيم الأحمدي، أن المملكة عززتْ مكانة المرأة بما شهدته من تحولات تشريعية ومؤسسية نوعية، ما وسّع نطاق مشاركتها، وفتح أمامها آفاقاً أرحب للإسهام الفاعل في مختلف المجالات التنموية، وانعكس ذلك على تصنيف المملكة ضمن الدول الأكثر تقدمّاً وإصلاحاً في مؤشرات تمكين المرأة، وتقليص الفجوة بين الجنسين، وتأصيل الأطر القانونية الداعمة لها.
ولفتت الأحمدي، خلال مشاركتها وفد المجلس في المنتدى الآسيوي الثانيللمرأة، إلى أنّ المرأة السعودية باتت تحقق حضوراً متنامياً في مختلف القطاعات، إذ تجاوزت نسبة مشاركتها في القطاع التقني المؤشرات العالمية، فضلاً عن بروزها في مجالات العلوم والثقافة والرياضة. وبلغت المرأة السعودية الفضاء، رائدةً وعالمةً وباحثةً، ما يعكس نجاح برامج التأهيل والتمكين التي تبنّتها المملكة خلال الأعوام الماضية.
وثمّنت التحولات النوعية التي حققتها المملكة في مختلف المجالات بتوجيهات من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وبدعمٍ ومتابعةٍ من ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان؛ ما جعل تمكين المرأة أحد مرتكزات رؤية المملكة 2030 الأساسية، وفق إصلاحات واسعة.
وأوضحت أن رؤية المملكة 2030 أولت اهتماماً بالغاً بالتشريعات؛ بوصفها أساساً لترسيخ الحقوق وتعزيز العدالة وتكافؤ الفرص؛ ومنها: انضمام المرأة إلى عضوية مجلس الشورى عام 2013م، وعدّتها خطوة تاريخية جاءت بأمر ملكي نصّ على تمثيل المرأة بنسبة لا تقل عن 20% من أعضاء المجلس، في تجسيد واضح لتوجه المملكة نحو توسيع المشاركة الوطنية وتعزيز حضور المرأة في العمل التشريعي وصناعة القرار.
وأشارت إلى أنّ المرأة السعودية غدت شريكاً فاعلاً في التنمية الوطنية الشاملة عقب انتقالها من مرحلة التمكين إلى الريادة والتأثير، في ظل ترسيخ قيم الوسطية والاعتدال، ودعم دور المرأة في بناء مجتمع حيوي واقتصاد مزدهر ووطن طموح.
وأعربت مساعد رئيس مجلس الشورى عن تطلعها إلى أنْ تُسهم مداولات المنتدى في تعزيز التعاون بين الدول المشاركة، والخروج بمبادرات عملية تدعم استقرار المجتمعات وتحقق مزيداً من الازدهار والتنمية لشعوبها. وجددت تأكيد حرص المملكة على تعزيز الحوار والتعاون الدولي في القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك؛ كون العالم، لا سيما قارة آسيا، يواجه تحديات وأزمات متسارعة تؤثر بشكل كبير على المرأة، ما يستوجب تعزيز التعاون، وتبادل الخبرات لدعم تمكينها؛ باعتباره ركيزةً أساسية لازدهار المجتمعات واستقرارها. مثمّنةً ما حظي به الوفد من حسن استقبال وكرم ضيافة يعكسان عمق العلاقات بين البلدين.
ويضم وفد مجلس الشورى المشارك في المنتدى الثاني للمرأة برئاسة مساعد رئيس مجلس الشورى أعضاء مجلس الشورى الدكتورة لطيفة محمد العبدالكريم، والدكتورة غادة طلعت الهذلي.
The Assistant to the Chairman of the Shura Council, Dr. Hanan Abdulrahim Al-Ahmadi, confirmed that the Kingdom has strengthened the status of women through significant legislative and institutional transformations, which have expanded the scope of their participation and opened broader horizons for their active contribution in various developmental fields. This has reflected on the classification of the Kingdom among the most advanced and reforming countries in indicators of women's empowerment, reducing the gender gap, and establishing supportive legal frameworks.
During her participation with the council's delegation at the second Asian Women’s Forum, Al-Ahmadi pointed out that Saudi women have achieved a growing presence in various sectors, as their participation rate in the technical sector has exceeded global indicators, in addition to their emergence in the fields of science, culture, and sports. Saudi women have reached space as pioneers, scientists, and researchers, reflecting the success of the qualification and empowerment programs that the Kingdom has adopted over the past years.
She praised the qualitative transformations that the Kingdom has achieved in various fields under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and with the support and follow-up of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman; making women's empowerment one of the core pillars of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, according to extensive reforms.
She explained that Vision 2030 has placed great emphasis on legislation as a foundation for establishing rights, enhancing justice, and ensuring equal opportunities; including the inclusion of women in the Shura Council in 2013, which she considered a historic step issued by a royal decree stipulating that women must represent at least 20% of the council's members, clearly embodying the Kingdom's direction towards expanding national participation and enhancing women's presence in legislative work and decision-making.
She indicated that Saudi women have become active partners in comprehensive national development after transitioning from empowerment to leadership and influence, under the consolidation of values of moderation and balance, and supporting the role of women in building a vibrant society, a prosperous economy, and an ambitious nation.
The Assistant to the Chairman of the Shura Council expressed her hope that the discussions at the forum would contribute to enhancing cooperation among the participating countries and result in practical initiatives that support community stability and achieve further prosperity and development for their peoples. She reiterated the Kingdom's commitment to promoting dialogue and international cooperation on issues of common interest, as the world, especially Asia, faces rapid challenges and crises that significantly affect women, necessitating enhanced cooperation and exchange of experiences to support their empowerment, as it is a fundamental pillar for the prosperity and stability of societies. She appreciated the warm reception and generous hospitality the delegation received, reflecting the depth of the relations between the two countries.
The Shura Council delegation participating in the second Women’s Forum is headed by the Assistant to the Chairman of the Shura Council, along with Shura Council members Dr. Latifa Mohammed Al-Abdulkarim and Dr. Ghada Talaat Al-Hudail.
