حصلت المطارات السعودية على التصريح البيئي من المركز الوطني للرقابة على الالتزام البيئي، بإشراف الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني، في خطوة ترفع مستوى الالتزام وتحد من المخاطر البيئية الناتجة عن الأنشطة التشغيلية، إضافةً إلى تطبيق رقابة بيئية منهجية تضمن كفاءة سير العمل، ومعالجة حالات عدم الالتزام بشكل منظم.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم المركز سعد المطرفي، أن إصدار التصاريح للمطارات سيسهم في رفع مؤشر الأداء البيئي للمطارات، وفق أفضل الممارسات والمعايير الدولية، ما يعني خفض المخاطر والتحديات البيئية والتشغيلية في محيط المطارات، والتزام المنشأة بتقديم التقارير والخطط البيئية، والخضوع لعمليات التفتيش البيئي الدورية، وفق الأنظمة واللوائح المعتمدة لنظام البيئة.
وأشار إلى أن الإشراف الفعّال من الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني، أسهم في وقت قياسي في رفع نسب الإنجاز والامتثال، إلى جانب المتابعة المستمرة لتنفيذ التكامل مع المركز كونه جهة رقابية، تنفذ مهمة رفع مستوى الالتزام البيئي لجميع الأنشطة والمنشآت ذات الأثر البيئي، إذ رفع المركز عدد المصرّحين في العام الماضي بنسبة 32% مقارنة بالعام الذي سبقه، ليتجاوز عدد المنشآت المصرحة بيئياً حاجز 55 ألف منشأة في مناطق المملكة كافة منها جميع مطارات المملكة.
The Saudi airports have received the environmental permit from the National Center for Environmental Compliance Monitoring, under the supervision of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, in a step that enhances the level of compliance and mitigates environmental risks resulting from operational activities. Additionally, it implements a systematic environmental oversight that ensures the efficiency of workflow and addresses non-compliance cases in an organized manner.
The spokesman for the center, Saad Al-Mutrefi, explained that issuing permits for airports will contribute to raising the environmental performance index of the airports, in accordance with the best practices and international standards. This means reducing environmental and operational risks and challenges in the vicinity of the airports, and the facility's commitment to providing environmental reports and plans, as well as undergoing regular environmental inspections, in accordance with the approved environmental system regulations.
He pointed out that the effective supervision by the General Authority of Civil Aviation has significantly contributed to increasing the rates of achievement and compliance in a timely manner, along with the continuous follow-up to implement integration with the center as a regulatory body, which carries out the task of raising the level of environmental compliance for all activities and facilities with environmental impacts. The center increased the number of permitted facilities last year by 32% compared to the previous year, surpassing the number of environmentally permitted facilities to exceed 55,000 across all regions of the Kingdom, including all airports in the Kingdom.
