توثيقاً للتراث العسكري الوطني، وإبرازاً لمسيرة القوات المسلحة عبر مراحلها المختلفة، تُنظّم وزارة الدفاع، بالتعاون مع دارة الملك عبدالعزيز وجامعة الطائف ممثَّلةً بمركز تاريخ الطائف، الملتقى الأول للتاريخ العسكري السعودي، وذلك في سبتمبر المقبل.
ويهدف الملتقى إلى تسليط الضوء على أبرز محطات التاريخ العسكري في المملكة، من خلال 4 محاور رئيسة تشمل: التأسيس العسكري في المملكة، ودور محافظة الطائف في نشأة الجيش السعودي، والتطور التاريخي للقوات المسلحة، ومصادر توثيق التاريخ العسكري السعودي؛ بما يُسهم في رسم صورة متكاملة لمسيرة العمل العسكري في المملكة منذ التأسيس وحتى اليوم.
كما يتضمن الملتقى، حزمة من الأنشطة العلمية والمعرفية، تشمل تقديم أوراق علمية محكَّمة، وعقد جلسات حوارية متخصصة، وإقامة معرض تاريخي مصاحب، إلى جانب زيارات ميدانية لعدد من المرافق والمراكز العسكرية ذات القيمة التاريخية.
In documenting the national military heritage and highlighting the journey of the armed forces through its various stages, the Ministry of Defense, in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Foundation and Taif University represented by the Taif History Center, is organizing the first forum on Saudi military history, which will take place next September.
The forum aims to shed light on the most significant milestones of military history in the Kingdom, through four main axes that include: military establishment in the Kingdom, the role of Taif Governorate in the formation of the Saudi army, the historical development of the armed forces, and sources for documenting Saudi military history; contributing to painting a comprehensive picture of the military work in the Kingdom from its establishment to the present day.
The forum will also include a package of scientific and knowledge-based activities, including the presentation of peer-reviewed scientific papers, holding specialized discussion sessions, and organizing a complementary historical exhibition, along with field visits to several military facilities and centers of historical significance.
