استكمل الفريق الطبي والجراحي المختص التابع للبرنامج السعودي للتوائم الملتصقة اليوم المرحلتين الرابعة والخامسة من عملية فصل التوأم الملتصق الفلبيني «كليا وموريس آن» بعد عملية جراحية تُعد من أكثر الحالات تعقيدًا على مستوى العالم استغرقت 18 ساعة ونصف وأجريت في مستشفى الملك عبدالله التخصصي للأطفال بمدينة الملك عبدالعزيز الطبية التابعة لوزارة الحرس الوطني بمدينة الرياض.
وأوضح المستشار بالديوان الملكي المشرف العام على مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية رئيس الفريق الطبي والجراحي التابع للبرنامج السعودي للتوائم الملتصقة الدكتور عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز الربيعة أنه بفضل الله تعالى ثم بجهود الزملاء من أعضاء الفريق الجراحي استُكملت المرحلتان الرابعة والخامسة من عملية فصل التوأم الفلبيني (كليا وموريس آن)، وشملتا الترميم والتجميل وإغلاق الجمجمة، حيث سبق أنه جرى الانتهاء من (3) مراحل من مراحل العملية بنجاح تام ولله الحمد.
ورفع الدكتور الربيعة باسمه ونيابة عن جميع أعضاء الفريق الطبي والجراحي الشكر والعرفان لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، و ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود -حفظهما الله- على ما يحظى به البرنامج السعودي للتوائم الملتصقة من اهتمام ورعاية مكّن الفريق الطبي السعودي من تقديم أعلى معايير الرعاية الطبية المتخصصة، وأسهم في تحسين جودة الحياة للأطفال المستفيدين وأسرهم، ورسخ مكانة المملكة في العمل الإنساني والطبي، مقدرًا جهود زملائه، وما يبذلونه من عمل احترافي وإنساني يُجسّد القيم النبيلة للمملكة وشعبها في خدمة الإنسان أينما كان.
The specialized medical and surgical team affiliated with the Saudi program for conjoined twins completed today the fourth and fifth stages of the separation operation for the Filipino conjoined twins "Klia and Morris Ann" after a surgical procedure considered one of the most complex cases in the world, which lasted 18 and a half hours and was conducted at King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital in the King Abdulaziz Medical City, part of the Ministry of National Guard in Riyadh.
Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, advisor at the Royal Court and general supervisor of the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center, and head of the medical and surgical team affiliated with the Saudi program for conjoined twins, explained that thanks to God Almighty and the efforts of his colleagues from the surgical team, the fourth and fifth stages of the separation operation for the Filipino twins (Klia and Morris Ann) were completed, which included reconstruction, cosmetic procedures, and skull closure. It is worth noting that three stages of the operation had previously been successfully completed, and we thank God for that.
Dr. Al-Rabeeah expressed his gratitude, on his behalf and on behalf of all members of the medical and surgical team, to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect them - for the attention and care that the Saudi program for conjoined twins receives, which has enabled the Saudi medical team to provide the highest standards of specialized medical care, contributing to improving the quality of life for the benefiting children and their families, and reinforcing the Kingdom's position in humanitarian and medical work.
