أكد أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة الأمير سلمان بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز أن خدمة الحجاج والمعتمرين والزوار لم تكن يومًا مسؤولية عابرة، بل هي نهج أصيل تأسست عليه المملكة منذ توحيدها على يد الملك عبدالعزيز – رحمه الله – واستمرت عليه قيادتها الحكيمة حتى هذا العهد الزاهر، حيث تواصل الدولة تسخير جميع إمكاناتها لخدمة الحرمين الشريفين والعناية بقاصديهما.
جاء ذلك خلال رعايته حفل افتتاح أعمال منتدى العمرة والزيارة في نسخته الثالثة، حيث أوضح أن تجربة المعتمر والزائر تمثل رحلة متكاملة، ثرية بالمعاني الروحية، ومرتبطة بجذور هذا الدين العظيم وعمق الحضارة الإسلامية التي انطلقت من هذه الأرض المباركة. وأشار إلى أن التطور المتسارع في منظومة خدمات العمرة والزيارة يعكس التزام المملكة برسالتها الدينية والإنسانية. كما أعرب عن شكره لوزير الحج والعمرة ومنسوبي الوزارة والجهات المشاركة على جهودهم الكبيرة في تنمية هذا القطاع الحيوي.

وتضمن الحفل المعرض المصاحب والعروض المرئية والكلمات التعريفية عن المنتدى، إضافة إلى تدشين المشروع العلمي لدارة الملك عبدالعزيز «الأطلس التاريخي للسيرة النبوية» الذي يهدف إلى توثيق السيرة النبوية باستخدام أحدث التقنيات. كما شاهد الحضور عرضًا مرئيًا عن الأطلس، إلى جانب الإعلان عن مشروع إطلاق أسماء الأحياء والشوارع والدروب والجادات في مشروع «رؤى المدينة»، وتوقيع عدد من الاتفاقيات ومذكرات التفاهم، وتسليم الجوائز وتكريم الجهات الداعمة والمساهمة.

وفي كلمته، أوضح وزير الحج والعمرة أن دعم القيادة مكّن القطاع من تحقيق قفزات نوعية، حيث تجاوز عدد المعتمرين القادمين من الخارج 18 مليون معتمر بنسبة نمو بلغت 214% بين عامي 2022 و2025. كما ارتفعت نسبة رضا المعتمرين إلى 94% خلال عام 2025، وتضاعف عدد زوار الروضة الشريفة ليصل إلى 15.6 مليون زائر خلال العام الماضي. وأضاف أن عدد المواقع والوجهات التاريخية والإثرائية المطوّرة بلغ 87 موقعًا، فيما تجاوز عدد مستخدمي تطبيق «نُسك» 51 مليون مستخدم حول العالم. وأشار إلى إطلاق شراكات مع منصات السفر العالمية لتسهيل تخطيط رحلات المعتمرين وتوسيع خياراتهم، إضافة إلى إنشاء غرفة عمليات مشتركة مع هيئة الطيران والجهات المعنية لضمان راحة وسلامة المعتمرين.
The Emir of the Medina Region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, confirmed that serving pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors has never been a transient responsibility, but rather an authentic approach upon which the Kingdom was founded since its unification by King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – and has continued under its wise leadership until this prosperous era, where the state continues to harness all its capabilities to serve the Two Holy Mosques and care for those who visit them.
This was stated during his sponsorship of the opening ceremony of the third edition of the Umrah and Visit Forum, where he explained that the experience of the Umrah performer and visitor represents a comprehensive journey, rich in spiritual meanings, and linked to the roots of this great religion and the depth of the Islamic civilization that originated from this blessed land. He pointed out that the rapid development in the system of Umrah and visit services reflects the Kingdom's commitment to its religious and humanitarian message. He also expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Hajj and Umrah and the ministry staff and participating entities for their significant efforts in developing this vital sector.

The ceremony included an accompanying exhibition, visual presentations, and introductory speeches about the forum, in addition to the launch of the scientific project by the King Abdulaziz Foundation, "The Historical Atlas of the Prophetic Biography," which aims to document the Prophetic biography using the latest technologies. The attendees also watched a visual presentation about the atlas, alongside the announcement of a project to name neighborhoods, streets, paths, and avenues in the "Visions of the City" project, the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding, and the presentation of awards and honoring of supporting and contributing entities.

In his speech, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah clarified that the support of the leadership has enabled the sector to achieve qualitative leaps, as the number of Umrah performers coming from abroad exceeded 18 million, with a growth rate of 214% between 2022 and 2025. The satisfaction rate of Umrah performers rose to 94% during the year 2025, and the number of visitors to the Noble Rawdah doubled to reach 15.6 million visitors last year. He added that the number of developed historical and enriching sites reached 87, while the number of users of the "Nusk" application exceeded 51 million users worldwide. He pointed out the launch of partnerships with global travel platforms to facilitate the planning of Umrah performers' trips and expand their options, in addition to establishing a joint operations room with the aviation authority and relevant entities to ensure the comfort and safety of Umrah performers.
