أدان الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، الهجمات الإيرانية التي استهدفت ميناء الدقم التجاري في سلطنة عُمان وناقلة نفط قبالة سواحلها، واصفاً إياها بأنها «اعتداءات غاشمة» تمثّل انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة السلطنة وتصعيداً خطيراً يهدّد أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
وأكد البديوي، أن هذه الهجمات تشكّل تهديداً مباشراً لسلامة الملاحة البحرية وإمدادات الطاقة العالمية، مشيراً إلى أن استهداف مرافق مدنية يعدّ خرقاً جسيماً للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة ومبادئ حسن الجوار.
وأوضح الأمين العام لدول الخليج، أن الاعتداءات الأخيرة تعكس نوايا إيران تجاه دول مجلس التعاون، رغم تأكيد دول المجلس في لقاءات سابقة أنها لن تسمح باستخدام أراضيها أو أجوائها لتنفيذ أي عمليات عسكرية ضد الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية.
وجدّد البديوي، موقف مجلس التعاون الثابت في دعم سلطنة عُمان، مؤكداً وقوف دول المجلس صفاً واحداً مع السلطنة في كل ما تتخذه من إجراءات لحماية سيادتها وصون أمنها واستقرارها، ومشدّداً على رفض المجلس لجميع أشكال الاعتداءات التي تستهدف أمن دوله الأعضاء.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted the commercial port of Duqm in the Sultanate of Oman and an oil tanker off its coast, describing them as "brutal assaults" that represent a blatant violation of the Sultanate's sovereignty and a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
Al-Budaiwi affirmed that these attacks pose a direct threat to maritime navigation safety and global energy supplies, noting that targeting civilian facilities constitutes a grave breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf States clarified that the recent assaults reflect Iran's intentions towards the GCC countries, despite the Council's previous meetings confirming that they would not allow their territories or airspace to be used for any military operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Al-Budaiwi reiterated the GCC's firm position in supporting the Sultanate of Oman, affirming that the member states stand united with the Sultanate in all measures it takes to protect its sovereignty and ensure its security and stability, emphasizing the Council's rejection of all forms of aggression targeting the security of its member states.
