استقطب مهرجان التمور والقهوة السعودية بمحافظة الخرج، الذي اختتمت فعاليته أمس، نحو مليوني زائر، أسهموا في ضخ نحو 11 مليون ريال في حركة التسوق؛ مما يعكس الحراك الاقتصادي والسياحي الذي تشهده المحافظة.
وتعد الخرج من المحافظات الشهيرة بزراعة النخيل، وتضم أكثر من مليون نخلة مثمرة، وتسهم بإنتاج وفير من التمور؛ مما يجعلها إحدى أبرز المناطق الداعمة للاقتصاد الزراعي المحلي.
وركّزت فعاليات المهرجان على الترفيه والتسوق، إلى جانب إبراز المقومات الزراعية والاقتصادية للمحافظة، وتعزيز حضورها بوصفها وجهة جاذبة للزوار.
وتضمّن المهرجان مبادرة الفهد للشباب والأسر المنتجة التي مكّنتهم من المشاركة في المهرجان مجاناً، وقدمت لهم أوجه دعم متعددة، تسهم في تمكينهم اقتصاديًا وتعزيز مشاركتهم في مثل هذه الفعاليات؛ لتمكينهم من بدء مشاريعهم بشكل احترافي واكتساب الخبرة والتعريف بمشاريعهم.
ويُعد مهرجان التمور والقهوة السعودية بالخرج نموذجاً للتكامل بين التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية، وداعماً لمستهدفات التنمية المستدامة بالمحافظة.
The Saudi Dates and Coffee Festival in Al-Kharj, which concluded its activities yesterday, attracted nearly two million visitors, contributing approximately 11 million riyals to shopping activities; reflecting the economic and tourism movement that the governorate is experiencing.
Al-Kharj is one of the famous regions for palm cultivation, boasting over a million productive palm trees, and it contributes a plentiful supply of dates; making it one of the prominent areas supporting the local agricultural economy.
The festival's activities focused on entertainment and shopping, alongside highlighting the agricultural and economic components of the governorate, and enhancing its presence as an attractive destination for visitors.
The festival included the Al-Fahd Initiative for youth and productive families, which enabled them to participate in the festival for free, providing them with various forms of support that contribute to their economic empowerment and enhance their participation in such events; allowing them to start their projects professionally and gain experience while promoting their initiatives.
The Saudi Dates and Coffee Festival in Al-Kharj is considered a model for the integration of economic and social development, and a supporter of the sustainable development goals in the governorate.
