ثمّنت الندوة العالمية للشباب الإسلامي، الجهود الريادية التي تبذلها المملكة العربية السعودية في خدمة القرآن الكريم ونشر قيم الوسطية والاعتدال، وذلك على هامش مسابقة القرآن الكريم في نسختها الثالثة بجمهورية سريلانكا التي نظمتها وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد خلال (11 - 13 يناير الجاري)، بالتعاون مع إدارة الشؤون الإسلامية بوزارة الأديان السريلانكية.
وأكدت الندوة في بيان لها، أن هذه المسابقة تُجسّد امتداداً متواصلاً للعطاء السعودي في رعاية بيوت الله ودعم حفظة كتابه في مختلف أنحاء العالم، وقالت إن أهمية هذه المبادرة تتجاوز الجانب التنافسي؛ لتسهم في ترسيخ قيم الوسطية والاعتدال، ونشر معاني الإسلام السمحة بين جيل الشباب، وهي رسالة راسخة في برامج المملكة ومبادراتها الدولية. وتزامنت هذه الإشادة مع ترحيب واسع من الأوساط الإسلامية في سريلانكا، التي قدّرت الدور المحوري لوزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد في إنجاح هذا الحدث، مؤكدةً أن مثل هذه البرامج تُسهم بفاعلية في ربط الناشئة بالقرآن الكريم، وتعزيز الفكر المعتدل، وخدمة المجتمع الإسلامي السريلانكي بصورة ملموسة.
The World Forum for Islamic Youth praised the pioneering efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Holy Quran and promoting the values of moderation and tolerance. This was stated on the sidelines of the Quran competition in its third edition held in the Republic of Sri Lanka, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance from January 11 to 13, in collaboration with the Islamic Affairs Administration of the Sri Lankan Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The forum affirmed in a statement that this competition embodies a continuous extension of Saudi contributions in caring for the houses of Allah and supporting the memorizers of His Book around the world. It stated that the importance of this initiative goes beyond the competitive aspect; it contributes to instilling the values of moderation and tolerance and spreading the gentle meanings of Islam among the youth. This is a steadfast message in the Kingdom's programs and international initiatives. This praise coincided with a wide welcome from Islamic circles in Sri Lanka, which appreciated the pivotal role of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in the success of this event, affirming that such programs effectively contribute to connecting the youth with the Holy Quran, promoting moderate thought, and serving the Sri Lankan Islamic community in a tangible way.
