أعلن قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية براد كوبر أن القوات الأمريكية دخلت يومها الرابع من عملية «الغضب الملحمي»، بسلسلة ضربات وُصفت بأنها الأوسع ضد إيران منذ سنوات.
كوبر أوضح أن العملية تشهد انخراط أكثر من 50 ألف جندي أمريكي، مدعومين بنحو 200 طائرة مقاتلة، وحاملتي طائرات، إضافة إلى قاذفات استراتيجية بعيدة المدى، في ما يُعد أكبر حشد عسكري أمريكي في الشرق الأوسط خلال الأعوام الأخيرة.
وبحسب القائد العسكري، فإن الضربات التي نُفذت بالتنسيق مع إسرائيل استهدفت منذ انطلاق العملية نحو ألفي هدف، عبر أكثر من ألفي ذخيرة مختلفة. وأكد أن الهجمات أضعفت بشكل ملحوظ منظومات الدفاع الجوي الإيرانية، ودمرت مئات الصواريخ الباليستية ومنصات إطلاقها، إلى جانب عدد كبير من الطائرات المسيّرة.
وأشار إلى أن قاذفات B-2 Spirit و**B-1 Lancer** نفذت ضربات دقيقة في عمق الأراضي الإيرانية، فيما تولت قاذفات B-52 Stratofortress استهداف مراكز القيادة والسيطرة. كما أعلن تدمير 17 سفينة إيرانية، بينها غواصة وصفها بأنها الأكثر جاهزية للعمليات.
وفي المقابل، قال قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية إن إيران أطلقت منذ بدء المواجهة أكثر من 500 صاروخ باليستي و2000 طائرة مسيّرة، متهماً طهران بتوجيه ضربات نحو أهداف مدنية.
وأضاف أن الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل تفرضان سيطرة جوية على الأجواء الإيرانية، مع استمرار عمليات تعقب منصات إطلاق الصواريخ الباليستية المتنقلة المتبقية. وختم بالتأكيد أن التقييم العملياتي يشير إلى أن القوات الأمريكية تتقدم على الجدول المرسوم في هذه المرحلة من الحملة.
US Central Command leader Brad Cooper announced that US forces have entered the fourth day of Operation "Epic Fury," with a series of strikes described as the largest against Iran in years.
Cooper clarified that the operation involves the engagement of more than 50,000 US soldiers, supported by around 200 fighter jets, two aircraft carriers, in addition to long-range strategic bombers, marking the largest US military buildup in the Middle East in recent years.
According to the military leader, the strikes, carried out in coordination with Israel, have targeted around 2,000 objectives since the operation began, using over 2,000 different munitions. He confirmed that the attacks have significantly weakened Iranian air defense systems and destroyed hundreds of ballistic missiles and their launch platforms, along with a large number of drones.
He noted that B-2 Spirit and **B-1 Lancer** bombers executed precise strikes deep into Iranian territory, while B-52 Stratofortress bombers targeted command and control centers. He also announced the destruction of 17 Iranian vessels, including a submarine described as the most operationally ready.
In contrast, the US Central Command leader stated that Iran has launched over 500 ballistic missiles and 2,000 drones since the onset of the confrontation, accusing Tehran of directing strikes at civilian targets.
He added that the United States and Israel are imposing air control over Iranian airspace, while continuing operations to track remaining mobile ballistic missile launch platforms. He concluded by affirming that operational assessments indicate that US forces are progressing ahead of the planned schedule at this stage of the campaign.
