حصل رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للترفيه رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للملاكمة المستشار تركي بن عبدالمحسن آل الشيخ، على لقب «Promoter of the Year» لعام 2025، ضمن جوائز مجلة «Boxing News» البريطانية المتخصصة، تقديراً لإسهاماته المؤثرة ودوره المتنامي في تطوير صناعة الملاكمة على المستوى العالمي.
ويأتي هذا التكريم نظير الجهود التي قادها خلال السنوات الأخيرة، وأسهمت في تعزيز مكانة النزالات الكبرى، ورفع كفاءة التنظيم، وتطوير التجربة الرياضية والإعلامية لفعاليات الملاكمة، من خلال شراكات دولية ورؤية أسهمت في استقطاب أبرز الأسماء العالمية.
وشهد 2025 تنظيم ودعم عدد من النزالات العالمية البارزة، كان لموسم الرياض دور محوري فيها، من بينها النزال العالمي الذي جمع ساول «كانيلو» ألفاريز وتيرينس كروفورد في لاس فيغاس، الذي صُنّف من أبرز نزالات العام، وحظي بمتابعة جماهيرية وإعلامية واسعة على مستوى العالم.
كما تضمن نوفمبر 2025 إقامة نزالات بارزة ضمن أحداث الملاكمة المرتبطة بموسم الرياض، من أبرزها نزال Unfinished Business الذي أُقيم في لندن، وجمع كريس يوبانك جونيور وكونور بين على ملعب توتنهام هوتسبير، في أمسية أعادت إحياء واحدة من أشهر المنافسات في الملاكمة البريطانية، وسط حضور جماهيري كبير وتغطية إعلامية دولية.
وامتد هذا الحراك إلى دعم المواهب الصاعدة، من خلال بطولة WBC Boxing Grand Prix التي أُقيمت ضمن فعاليات موسم الرياض، وأسهمت في إتاحة فرص تنافسية للشباب والناشئين، وربطهم بمسار احترافي يعزز مستقبلهم في رياضة الملاكمة.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority and President of the Saudi Boxing Federation, Counselor Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Sheikh, has been awarded the title of "Promoter of the Year" for 2025, as part of the British magazine "Boxing News" awards, in recognition of his impactful contributions and growing role in developing the boxing industry on a global level.
This honor comes in light of the efforts he has led over the past few years, which have contributed to enhancing the status of major fights, improving organizational efficiency, and developing the sports and media experience of boxing events, through international partnerships and a vision that has attracted some of the most prominent global names.
In 2025, several notable global fights were organized and supported, with the Riyadh Season playing a pivotal role, including the global match that brought together Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Terence Crawford in Las Vegas, which was classified as one of the year's top fights and received extensive public and media attention worldwide.
November 2025 also featured prominent fights as part of the boxing events linked to the Riyadh Season, including the Unfinished Business match held in London, which brought together Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in an evening that revived one of the most famous rivalries in British boxing, amidst a large audience and international media coverage.
This movement extended to supporting emerging talents through the WBC Boxing Grand Prix held as part of the Riyadh Season events, which provided competitive opportunities for youth and juniors, connecting them with a professional path that enhances their future in the sport of boxing.
