وزّع مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، أخيراً، عدداً من المواد والمستلزمات التعليمية والتقنية على عدد من جمعيات ذوي الإعاقة ومراكز محو الأمية في محافظة لحج، تزامناً مع اليوم العالمي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الموافق 3 ديسمبر من كل عام، ضمن مشروع الاستجابة لاحتياجات تنمية القدرات المحلية لتعليم طلاب محو الأمية وذوي الإعاقة في اليمن.
واشتملت المواد والمستلزمات على مقاعد مدرسيَّة وأجهزة الحاسب الآلي مع ملحقاتها، ووسائل تعليمية وترفيهية، فضلاً عن توفير وسائل الأمن والسلامة في جمعيتي رعاية وتأهيل الصم والبكم والمكفوفين ومدرسة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة بمدينة الحوطة، وعدد من جمعيات المعاقين في مديريتي حبيل جبر وحالمين بردفان.
قدرات مؤسسية
يذكر أن المشروع يهدف إلى بناء القدرات المؤسسية للمراكز والمدارس الحكومية العاملة في مجالات رعاية وتأهيل الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة ومدارس محو الأمية؛ عبر تهيئة البيئة التعليمية من خلال دعم وتوفير التجهيزات اللازمة في 29 مركزاً لتأهيل ورعاية ذوي الإعاقة، و24 مدرسة لمحو الأمية في ست محافظات (عدن، حضرموت، الضالع، لحج، شبوة والمهرة).
وتأتي هذه الجهود امتداداً للدور الإنساني الذي تقدمه المملكة؛ ممثلةً بمركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة في دعم الفئات الأكثر احتياجاً والارتقاء بالخدمات التعليمية لذوي الإعاقة في اليمن.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center recently distributed a number of educational and technical materials and supplies to several disability associations and literacy centers in Lahij Governorate, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which falls on December 3rd each year. This is part of the project aimed at responding to the needs for local capacity development to educate illiterate students and persons with disabilities in Yemen.
The materials and supplies included school desks, computers with their accessories, educational and recreational tools, as well as providing safety and security measures in the associations for the care and rehabilitation of the deaf and mute, the blind, and the special needs school in Al-Houta city, along with several disability associations in the districts of Habil Jabr and Halmeen in Radfan.
Institutional Capacities
It is worth mentioning that the project aims to build the institutional capacities of the centers and public schools working in the fields of care and rehabilitation for persons with disabilities and literacy schools; by preparing the educational environment through supporting and providing the necessary equipment in 29 centers for the rehabilitation and care of persons with disabilities, and 24 literacy schools in six governorates (Aden, Hadhramaut, Al-Dhale, Lahij, Shabwa, and Al-Mahrah).
These efforts are an extension of the humanitarian role that the Kingdom plays, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, in supporting the most vulnerable groups and enhancing educational services for persons with disabilities in Yemen.
