يزور الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينغ مصر خلال أيام، في أول زيارة من نوعها منذ عام 2016، وفق ما أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الصينية والرئاسة المصرية، اليوم الأربعاء.
وقالت الخارجية الصينية إن الرئيس الصيني سيحضر قمة منظمة شنغهاي للتعاون في قرغيزستان ثم يزور مصر في الفترة من 30 أغسطس الجاري إلى الثالث من سبتمبر القادم.
وأعلنت الرئاسة المصرية أن الرئيس الصيني سيجري زيارة رسمية إلى مصر خلال الأيام القليلة القادمة، يلتقي خلالها الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي لبحث سبل تعزيز الشراكة الإستراتيجية بين البلدين.
وقال المتحدث باسم الرئاسة المصرية في بيان إن المحادثات ستتناول «مختلف المجالات محل الاهتمام المشترك، فضلاً عن تبادل الآراء بشأن عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية».
وكانت آخر زيارة للرئيس الصيني إلى مصر في 20 يناير 2016، في زيارة دولة استمرت أياماً عدة، إذ شارك في الاحتفال بمرور 60 عاماً على إقامة العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين البلدين.
وبدأت مصر والصين مناورات «نسور الحضارة 2026»، (السبت) الماضي، بمشاركة مقاتلات صينية متطورة، للعام الثاني على التوالي، في خطوة تعكس تنامي التقارب العسكري بين الجانبين، في وقت تبحث فيه القاهرة عن بدائل لتحديث أسطولها الجوي.
وسبق أن شاركت الصين، وفق المتحدث السابق باسم وزارة الدفاع الصينية وو تشيان، في النسخة الأولى من معرض مصر الدولي للطيران، بدعوة من القوات الجوية المصرية في 2024، إذ أرسل سلاح الجو الصيني 7 طائرات مقاتلة من طراز J-10 عالية الأداء تابعة لفريق «بايي» للاستعراضات الجوية، وطائرة نقل من طراز Y-20 للمشاركة في المعرض، وفق صحيفة «China Daily».
لم تكن هذه المناورات ملمح التقارب العسكري الوحيد بين مصر والصين في سلاح الجو، ففي العام 2024، كان قائد القوات الجوية المصرية آنذاك الفريق محمود فؤاد عبدالجواد، مع وفد رسمي رفيع المستوى، في زيارة إلى معرض بكين، والتقى قيادات سلاح الجو الصيني، وفق بيان لوزارة الدفاع المصرية.
The Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Egypt in the coming days, marking the first visit of its kind since 2016, according to announcements made by the Chinese Foreign Ministry and the Egyptian presidency on Wednesday.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that the Chinese president will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Kyrgyzstan before visiting Egypt from August 30 to September 3.
The Egyptian presidency announced that the Chinese president will conduct an official visit to Egypt in the coming days, during which he will meet with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to discuss ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency stated in a statement that the discussions will cover "various areas of mutual interest, as well as exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues."
The last visit of the Chinese president to Egypt was on January 20, 2016, during a state visit that lasted several days, during which he participated in the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Egypt and China began the "Eagles of Civilization 2026" exercises last Saturday, featuring advanced Chinese fighter jets for the second consecutive year, in a move that reflects the growing military rapprochement between the two sides, at a time when Cairo is seeking alternatives to modernize its air fleet.
Previously, China participated, according to the former spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Defense Wu Qian, in the first edition of the International Air Show in Egypt, at the invitation of the Egyptian Air Force in 2024, sending 7 high-performance J-10 fighter jets from the "Bayi" aerobatic team, along with a Y-20 transport aircraft to participate in the exhibition, according to the "China Daily" newspaper.
This exercise was not the only sign of military rapprochement between Egypt and China in the air force; in 2024, the then commander of the Egyptian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Fouad Abdeljawad, along with a high-level official delegation, visited the Beijing exhibition and met with leaders of the Chinese Air Force, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Defense.
