أطلق المركز الوطني لكفاءة وترشيد المياه (مائي) جائزة «مائي» لكفاءة المياه، كأول منصة وطنية تُعنى بتكريم التميز في كفاءة وترشيد استخدام المياه، وتحفيز الابتكار، ونشر الوعي، وتشجيع المبادرات والممارسات ذات الأثر المستدام، وذلك خلال مشاركته في فعاليات أسبوع المياه السعودي 2026 التي اختتمت أعمالها اليوم في جدة.
واختتم المركز مشاركته في الفعاليات، التي أُقيمت خلال الفترة من 28 يونيو إلى 2 يوليو، بعد أن استعرض مبادراته وبرامجه ومشاريعه الهادفة إلى رفع كفاءة استخدام المياه، وتعزيز ثقافة الترشيد، وتوسيع الشراكات الداعمة للاستدامة المائية.
وشهدت المشاركة تكريم 27 جهة من شركاء الاستدامة المائية، تقديراً لإسهاماتهم في دعم المبادرات الوطنية وتعزيز كفاءة وترشيد استخدام المياه، وشملت جهات حكومية وخاصة وغير ربحية أسهمت في تنفيذ برامج ومبادرات ذات أثر ملموس في مختلف القطاعات.
كما قدّم «مائي» سلسلة من الجلسات الحوارية وورش العمل المتخصصة، ناقشت الوعي المائي، والتحول في قطاع المياه، وكفاءة وترشيد الاستخدام، والتجارب الوطنية في القطاع الحضري، وتمكين مقدمي خدمات كفاءة المياه، إلى جانب استعراض المبادرات البيئية والشراكات المؤسسية الداعمة للاستدامة.
وشهدت الفعاليات تكريم وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة للمركز الوطني لكفاءة وترشيد المياه (مائي)؛ تقديراً لجهوده في مبادرات التوعية المائية خلال موسم حج 1447، وإسهاماته في دعم الجهود الوطنية الرامية إلى رفع الوعي وتعزيز كفاءة استخدام المياه بين ضيوف الرحمن.
وأكد المركز أن مشاركته في أسبوع المياه السعودي 2026 تعكس دوره في تطوير الحلول والمبادرات النوعية، وتعزيز التكامل مع الجهات الحكومية والقطاع الخاص والقطاع غير الربحي، بما يسهم في بناء منظومة أكثر كفاءة واستدامة وترسيخ ثقافة المحافظة على المياه.
The National Center for Water Efficiency and Conservation (Maa'i) launched the "Maa'i" Water Efficiency Award, as the first national platform dedicated to honoring excellence in water efficiency and conservation, stimulating innovation, raising awareness, and encouraging initiatives and practices with a sustainable impact. This was announced during its participation in the Saudi Water Week 2026 events, which concluded today in Jeddah.
The center concluded its participation in the events, which took place from June 28 to July 2, after showcasing its initiatives, programs, and projects aimed at improving water use efficiency, promoting a culture of conservation, and expanding partnerships that support water sustainability.
The participation included honoring 27 entities from water sustainability partners, in recognition of their contributions to supporting national initiatives and enhancing water efficiency and conservation. These included governmental, private, and non-profit entities that contributed to implementing programs and initiatives with a tangible impact across various sectors.
Maa'i also presented a series of panel discussions and specialized workshops that discussed water awareness, transformation in the water sector, efficiency and conservation of use, national experiences in the urban sector, and empowering water efficiency service providers, along with showcasing environmental initiatives and institutional partnerships that support sustainability.
The events also witnessed the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture honoring the National Center for Water Efficiency and Conservation (Maa'i) in recognition of its efforts in water awareness initiatives during the Hajj season of 1447, and its contributions to supporting national efforts aimed at raising awareness and enhancing water use efficiency among the guests of Allah.
The center confirmed that its participation in Saudi Water Week 2026 reflects its role in developing qualitative solutions and initiatives, enhancing integration with governmental entities, the private sector, and the non-profit sector, contributing to building a more efficient and sustainable system and instilling a culture of water conservation.
