أكد وزير الاقتصاد والصناعة السوري الدكتور محمد الشعار، خلال لقائه وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر الخريّف، في مقر الوزارة اليوم، أهمية تعزيز الشراكات الصناعية والاستثمارية بين البلدين، مشيراً إلى حرص بلاده على الاستفادة من التجربة الصناعية المتقدمة في المملكة، واستكشاف الفرص المتاحة لتبادل الخبرات، مشدداً على أن مرحلة إعادة الإعمار التي تعيشها سورية؛ توفر فرصاً نوعية لاستقطاب استثمارات القطاع الخاص السعودي خصوصاً في القطاع الصناعي.
واتفق الطرفان خلال الاجتماع على تكوين فرق عمل فنية مشتركة للعمل على مسارات التكامل الصناعي بين البلدين.
من جهته، أكد الخريّف متانة العلاقات الإستراتيجية التي تربط بين المملكة وسورية على الأصعدة كافة، وحرص القيادة في البلدين على تطوير العمل المشترك، وتعزيز الروابط الاقتصادية الثنائية في مختلف القطاعات، ومنها قطاعا الصناعة والتعدين، إلى جانب تحفيز الاستثمارات المتبادلة.
وأشاد بمخرجات المنتدى الاستثماري السعودي السوري، الذي انعقد برعاية الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع في العاصمة دمشق الشهر الماضي، والاتفاقيات الاستثمارية النوعية الموقعة ضمن أعماله في قطاعات حيوية عدة، منها الصناعة والتعدين، مُبدياً تفاؤله بأن يؤدي القطاع الصناعي دوراً محوريّاً في نهوض الاقتصاد السوري وتعزيز نموّه واستدامته.
وسلّط الوزير الخريف الضوء على مستهدفات الإستراتيجية الوطنية للصناعة في المملكة، ودورها في رسم خطط التكامل الصناعي مع الدول العربية، منوهاً بأهمية تحفيز القطاع الخاص على الاستفادة من الفرص الاستثمارية التي تتيحها مسارات التكامل الصناعي بين المملكة وسورية.
ودعا الخريف نظيره السوري إلى حضور المؤتمر العام الـ21 لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية (اليونيدو)، الذي تستضيفه الرياض في نوفمبر المقبل.
وبحث الجانبان خلال اللقاء سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك في قطاع الصناعة، وتحديد مسارات للتكامل الصناعي بين البلدين الشقيقين، إلى جانب استعراض الفرص المتاحة لتنمية الاستثمارات المشتركة وتبادل الخبرات بين الجانبين.
وشهد الاجتماع حضور نائب وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية لشؤون الصناعة المهندس خليل بن إبراهيم بن سلمة، ومساعد وزير الاستثمار الدكتور عبدالله الدبيخي، وعددٍ من قيادات المنظومة الصناعية في المملكة.
وحضره من الجانب السوري، نائب وزير الاقتصاد والصناعة لشؤون الصناعة والتجارة الخارجية باسل عبدالحنان، ونائب الوزير لشؤون التجارة الداخلية ماهر الحسن، ورئيس هيئة الاستثمار طلال الهلالي، ومدير المدن والمناطق الصناعية المهندس مؤيد البنا، وعدد من المسؤولين في الصندوق السيادي السوري.

The Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Mohammad al-Shaar, during his meeting with the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar al-Kharif, at the ministry's headquarters today, emphasized the importance of enhancing industrial and investment partnerships between the two countries. He pointed out his country's eagerness to benefit from the advanced industrial experience in the Kingdom and to explore available opportunities for exchanging expertise, stressing that the reconstruction phase that Syria is experiencing provides significant opportunities to attract investments from the Saudi private sector, especially in the industrial sector.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to form joint technical working teams to work on the paths of industrial integration between the two countries.
For his part, al-Kharif affirmed the strength of the strategic relations that bind the Kingdom and Syria on all levels, and the leadership's commitment in both countries to develop joint work and enhance bilateral economic ties in various sectors, including industry and mining, as well as to stimulate mutual investments.
He praised the outcomes of the Saudi-Syrian Investment Forum, which was held under the patronage of Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara in the capital, Damascus, last month, and the significant investment agreements signed during its activities in several vital sectors, including industry and mining, expressing optimism that the industrial sector would play a pivotal role in revitalizing the Syrian economy and enhancing its growth and sustainability.
Minister al-Kharif highlighted the objectives of the national industrial strategy in the Kingdom and its role in shaping industrial integration plans with Arab countries, noting the importance of encouraging the private sector to take advantage of the investment opportunities provided by the paths of industrial integration between the Kingdom and Syria.
Al-Kharif invited his Syrian counterpart to attend the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), which will be hosted in Riyadh next November.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation in the industrial sector, identify paths for industrial integration between the two brotherly countries, and review available opportunities for developing joint investments and exchanging expertise between the two sides.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, Engineer Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salama, the Assistant Minister of Investment, Dr. Abdullah al-Dubikhi, and several leaders of the industrial system in the Kingdom.
From the Syrian side, it was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry for Industry and Foreign Trade, Basel Abdulhannan, the Deputy Minister for Internal Trade, Maher al-Hassan, the Chairman of the Investment Authority, Talal al-Hilali, the Director of Industrial Cities and Zones, Engineer Muayad al-Banna, and several officials from the Syrian sovereign fund.
