أعلن ميناء نيوم نجاح تجربة تشغيلية لممر تجاري إقليمي جديد متعدد الوسائط، يربط بين مراكز تجارية رئيسية في كل من المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية مصر العربية وجمهورية العراق. وأسهمت التجربة التي نفذها الميناء بالتعاون مع «مجلس الشراكة اللوجستي مع القطاع الخاص» في تقليص زمن نقل الشحنات بأكثر من 50% مقارنة بالمسارات التقليدية.
وكجزء من المشروع التجريبي، انطلقت أولى الشحنات من العاصمة المصرية القاهرة مروراً بميناء سفاجا، ومنه عبر البحر الأحمر إلى ميناء نيوم، قبل أن تواصل رحلتها براً إلى وجهتها النهائية في مدينة أربيل العراقية، قاطعة مسافة تتجاوز 900 كيلومتر.
وتجسد المبادرة نموذجاً للتكامل الفاعل بين عدد من الجهات الحكومية والتنظيمية، من ضمنها الهيئة العامة للنقل، وهيئة الزكاة والضريبة والجمارك، إلى جانب شركاء من القطاع الخاص، مثل ملاّك السفن، والمصدرين والمستوردين الرئيسيين، ومجالس التصدير، وشركات الخدمات اللوجستية. وقد حقق هذا التعاون المشترك مستويات عالية من الكفاءة التشغيلية في مختلف مراحل النقل والمناولة، وأتاح تقديم حلول لوجستية متكاملة وفعّالة ترفع مستوى التنافسية بشكل ملحوظ، حيث تجلى نجاح المشروع التجريبي في تقليص زمن العبور بأكثر من 50% على الطرق القادمة من مصر مقارنة بالمسارات التقليدية.
ويفتح هذا الإنجاز آفاقاً واسعة أمام إمكانية خفض التكاليف وتقليص أوقات العبور بشكل كبير، مما يعزز فرص تطوير ممرات تجارية إقليمية وعالمية مستقبلية. ويعد هذا المشروع التجريبي خطوة محورية في تنفيذ رؤية طويلة الأمد لتعزيز دور ميناء نيوم كمركز لوجستي وبحري رئيسي في المملكة العربية السعودية. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف، يستفيد ميناء نيوم من موقعه الجغرافي الاستراتيجي المتميز على البحر الأحمر، بالقرب من حدود عرعر التي تُعد نقطة الدخول الرئيسية إلى العراق. هذا الموقع الفريد يتيح للميناء أن يكون بوابة إقليمية حيوية تربط بين أهم طرق التجارة العالمية، مما يعزز دوره في شبكة الممرات اللوجستية الداخلية الحيوية. ومن خلال هذا التكامل، يُسهل ميناء نيوم تدفقات تجارية سلسة بين آسيا وأفريقيا وأوروبا والشرق الأوسط، مما يفتح آفاقًا جديدة للنمو الاقتصادي والتبادل التجاري عبر الحدود.
وتأتي هذه المبادرة كخطوة مهمة نحو تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 لبناء منظومة لوجستية عالمية المستوى، ترتكز على التكامل بين الموانئ والمنافذ البرية والمراكز الجمركية. كما تقدم نموذجًا قابلًا للتوسع يساهم في تطوير الربط اللوجستي داخل المملكة، ويعزز موقعها كمركز لوجستي عالمي محوري في التجارة الإقليمية والدولية.
The Neom Port announced the successful operational trial of a new multimodal regional trade corridor, linking major commercial centers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Iraq. The trial, conducted by the port in collaboration with the "Logistics Partnership Council with the Private Sector," contributed to reducing shipment transit times by more than 50% compared to traditional routes.
As part of the pilot project, the first shipments departed from the Egyptian capital, Cairo, passing through the port of Safaga, and then across the Red Sea to Neom Port, before continuing their journey overland to their final destination in the Iraqi city of Erbil, covering a distance of over 900 kilometers.
The initiative exemplifies an effective integration model among several governmental and regulatory entities, including the General Transport Authority, the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, alongside private sector partners such as ship owners, major exporters and importers, export councils, and logistics companies. This collaborative effort has achieved high levels of operational efficiency across various stages of transportation and handling, enabling the provision of integrated and effective logistical solutions that significantly enhance competitiveness, as evidenced by the pilot project's success in reducing transit times by more than 50% on routes coming from Egypt compared to traditional paths.
This achievement opens wide horizons for the possibility of significantly reducing costs and transit times, thereby enhancing opportunities for the development of future regional and global trade corridors. This pilot project is a pivotal step in implementing a long-term vision to strengthen Neom Port's role as a major logistical and maritime hub in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve this goal, Neom Port benefits from its outstanding strategic geographical location on the Red Sea, near the Arar border, which is the main entry point to Iraq. This unique location allows the port to serve as a vital regional gateway connecting the most important global trade routes, thereby enhancing its role in the vital internal logistics corridor network. Through this integration, Neom Port facilitates smooth trade flows between Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, opening new prospects for economic growth and cross-border trade.
This initiative comes as an important step towards achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a world-class logistics system, based on the integration of ports, land crossings, and customs centers. It also presents a scalable model that contributes to the development of logistical connectivity within the Kingdom, enhancing its position as a pivotal global logistics hub in regional and international trade.
