The Digital Government Authority announced the integration and closure of 267 digital platforms across various sectors, as part of its efforts to enhance the experience of beneficiaries of government services and improve digital efficiency. This action reflects the commitment of government entities to raise the quality of digital services and achieve integration among platforms, in line with the strategic directions of the digital government.
These efforts included the implementation of new standards to regulate the governance of government platforms and enhance the use of shared technical resources, such as: "Unified National Access," "Electronic Payment," and "Government Integration Channel," in addition to the commitment to the unified design system "Platform Code," which contributes to providing unified and effective digital services.
The authority launched the "Comprehensive Government" program in 2022, which successfully reduced the number of government platforms from 817 at its launch to 550 by the end of the first half of 2025. The program aims to improve the efficiency of government resource use and provide more effective digital services, supporting the digital transformation journey and enhancing beneficiary satisfaction.
The authority emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among government entities to effectively develop and manage digital domains and platforms, focusing on making services available through the comprehensive national application "Tawakkalna," provided by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which enhances the user experience and ensures the provision of government services centered around the needs of beneficiaries, with unlimited support from the wise leadership - may God protect it.
In this context, the authority praised the efforts made by government entities in adopting modern technical solutions and committing to providing high-quality digital services. It also stressed the importance of continuing to work towards developing an integrated digital environment that enhances the efficiency of electronic platforms and strengthens the Kingdom's position in international digital government indicators.
These efforts are highlighted through qualitative examples, as the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing exemplifies a pioneering model in digital transformation by closing 37 different platforms within the "Baladi" platform, achieving an accomplishment rate exceeding 80%, which contributes to unifying services and improving the beneficiary experience. The Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services continues its digital leadership through the "Logisti" platform, which offers more than 200 services covering various transport sectors, contributing to enhancing the efficiency of logistics infrastructure and supporting the national economy. In the health sector, the Ministry of Health leads a comprehensive digital transformation through the "Sehati" platform, which provides a unified experience for more than 30 million users. This transformation included the issuance of more than 140 million electronic prescriptions after integrating the "Wasfati" and "Unified Health File" platforms, in addition to providing over 80 million appointments and 7 million instant consultations through the integration of "Mawid" and "Seha" services, enhancing healthcare efficiency, improving quality of life, and driving towards achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
