أصدرت وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية 21 رخصة تعدينية جديدة خلال شهر أبريل 2025، في إطار جهودها لتطوير قطاع التعدين بالمملكة، وتعزيز الاستفادة منه في تنويع مصادر الدخل للاقتصاد الوطني.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية جراح بن محمد الجراح أن الرخص التعدينية الجديدة شملت 11 رخصة محاجر مواد بناء، و8 رخص استطلاع، ورخصتي استغلال تعدين ومنجم صغير؛ وفقاً لتقرير المركز الوطني للمعلومات الصناعية والتعدينية التابع للوزارة عن المؤشرات التعدينية لشهر أبريل 2025.
وبيّن أن إجمالي عدد الرخص التعدينية السارية في القطاع حتى نهاية شهر أبريل بلغ 2447 رخصة، تتصدرها رخص محاجر مواد بناء بـ1480 رخصة، تليها رخص الكشف بـ671 رخصة، ثم رخص استغلال تعدين ومنجم صغير بـ225 رخصة، ورخص الاستطلاع بـ52 رخصة، ثم تأتي رخص فائض الخامات المعدنية بـ19 رخصة، مشيراً إلى أن نظام الاستثمار التعديني ولائحته التنفيذية حدد 6 أنواع للرخص التعدينية، تشمل رخصة الاستطلاع، التي تغطي جميع أنواع المعادن لمدة عامين قابلة للتمديد، ورخصة الكشف لجميع أنواع المعادن لمدة 5 سنوات بالنسبة للمعادن من الفئتين (أ) و(ب)، ورخصة لفئة المعادن (ج) لمدة عام واحد، ورخصة للأغراض العامة مرتبطة برخصة التعدين أو المنجم الصغير.
وأفاد الجراح أن النظام حدد أيضاً رُخصاً للاستغلال، تشمل رخصة تعدين المعادن من الفئتين (أ) و(ب)، والتي لا تتجاوز فترة ترخيصها 30 عاماً قابلة للتجديد أو التمديد، ورخصة منجم صغير للمعادن من الفئتين (أ) و(ب)، ومدة رخصتها لا تزيد على 20 سنة، ورخصة محجر مواد البناء مخصصة لفئة المعادن (ج)، والتي تصل مدة الترخيص فيها إلى 10 سنوات قابلة للتمديد، كما تَضَمّن النظام رخصة فائض الخامات المعدنية في مواقع المشاريع أو الأراضي ذات الملكية الخاصة.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 21 new mining licenses during April 2025, as part of its efforts to develop the mining sector in the Kingdom and enhance its contribution to diversifying sources of income for the national economy.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Jirrah bin Mohammed Al-Jirrah, explained that the new mining licenses included 11 licenses for construction materials quarries, 8 exploration licenses, and 2 licenses for mining exploitation and small mines; according to the report from the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information affiliated with the ministry regarding mining indicators for April 2025.
He indicated that the total number of active mining licenses in the sector by the end of April reached 2,447 licenses, led by construction materials quarry licenses with 1,480 licenses, followed by exploration licenses with 671 licenses, then mining exploitation and small mine licenses with 225 licenses, and exploration licenses with 52 licenses, followed by surplus mineral resource licenses with 19 licenses. He pointed out that the mining investment system and its executive regulations defined 6 types of mining licenses, including the exploration license, which covers all types of minerals for a period of two years renewable, and the discovery license for all types of minerals for 5 years for minerals of categories (A) and (B), a license for category (C) minerals for one year, and a general-purpose license linked to the mining or small mine license.
Al-Jirrah stated that the system also defined licenses for exploitation, including mining licenses for minerals of categories (A) and (B), which do not exceed a licensing period of 30 years renewable or extendable, a small mine license for minerals of categories (A) and (B), with a licensing period not exceeding 20 years, and a construction materials quarry license designated for category (C) minerals, which has a licensing period of up to 10 years renewable, and the system also included a surplus mineral resource license in project sites or privately owned lands.
