تصدرت السعودية قائمة الدول الأكثر نمواً في جذب الزوار، بعدما ارتفع عدد السياح الوافدين إليها بنسبة 67% مقارنة بمستويات ما قبل الجائحة، في أكبر زيادة مسجلة بين الاقتصادات، وذلك بحسب تقرير لمنظمة التعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية (OECD)، الذي يقارن أعداد السياح الدوليين بين عامي 2019 و2025.
إستراتيجية رؤية 2030
وبحسب التقرير، جاءت هذه القفزة ثمرة إستراتيجية المملكة لتنويع اقتصادها ضمن رؤية 2030، التي ركزت على تطوير القطاع السياحي عبر تسهيل إجراءات التأشيرات، وزيادة السعة الجوية، وإطلاق مشاريع ضخمة في مجالات الثقافة والترفيه والسياحة الفاخرة، ما حول المملكة إلى واحدة من أسرع الوجهات السياحية نمواً في العالم.
أبرز الرابحين
ووفقاً للتقرير، حقق المغرب نمواً بلغ 53% مقارنة بعام 2019، بينما سجلت مصر زيادة قوية بلغت 47%، مستفيدة من الطلب المتنامي على وجهات البحر المتوسط وشمال أفريقيا، إلى جانب التوسع في الطاقة الفندقية وتحسن الربط الجوي والترويج السياحي المكثف.
وتشير البيانات إلى أن منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا أصبحت من أبرز الرابحين في مرحلة التعافي السياحي العالمي، متقدمة على العديد من الوجهات الأوروبية التقليدية التي عادت للنمو ولكن بوتيرة أبطأ نسبياً.
أداء قوي
وفي أمريكا اللاتينية، واصلت عدة دول تسجيل أداء قوي، إذ ارتفع عدد السياح الدوليين في البرازيل بنسبة 46%، تلتها كولومبيا بنسبة 45%، ثم تشيلي بنسبة 33%، في دلالة على تنامي جاذبية المنطقة للباحثين عن تجارب سفر جديدة خارج المسارات السياحية التقليدية.
أما في آسيا، فكانت اليابان بين أبرز قصص النجاح، إذ سجلت نمواً بلغ 34% مقارنة بعام 2019، مستفيدة من انتعاش الطلب العالمي بعد إعادة فتح الحدود وعودة حركة السفر الدولية بقوة.
ورغم أن أوروبا استعادت معظم زخمها السياحي، فإن مكاسبها جاءت أقل من تلك المسجلة في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا. فقد ارتفعت أعداد السياح الدوليين في النرويج بنسبة 28%، وصربيا 27%، والدنمارك 22%، والبرتغال 20%، وإسبانيا 16%، وفرنسا 12%.
Saudi Arabia topped the list of the fastest-growing countries in attracting visitors, with the number of incoming tourists rising by 67% compared to pre-pandemic levels, marking the largest recorded increase among economies, according to a report by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which compares international tourist numbers between 2019 and 2025.
Vision 2030 Strategy
According to the report, this leap is the result of the Kingdom's strategy to diversify its economy under Vision 2030, which focused on developing the tourism sector by facilitating visa procedures, increasing air capacity, and launching massive projects in the fields of culture, entertainment, and luxury tourism, transforming the Kingdom into one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations in the world.
Key Winners
According to the report, Morocco achieved a growth of 53% compared to 2019, while Egypt recorded a strong increase of 47%, benefiting from the growing demand for Mediterranean and North African destinations, alongside the expansion of hotel capacity, improved air connectivity, and intensive tourism promotion.
The data indicates that the Middle East and North Africa have become some of the key winners in the global tourism recovery phase, outpacing many traditional European destinations that have returned to growth but at a relatively slower pace.
Strong Performance
In Latin America, several countries continued to record strong performance, with the number of international tourists in Brazil rising by 46%, followed by Colombia at 45%, and Chile at 33%, indicating the growing appeal of the region for those seeking new travel experiences outside traditional tourist paths.
In Asia, Japan was among the standout success stories, recording a growth of 34% compared to 2019, benefiting from the resurgence of global demand following the reopening of borders and a strong return of international travel.
Although Europe has regained most of its tourism momentum, its gains were less than those recorded in the Middle East and North Africa. The number of international tourists in Norway increased by 28%, Serbia by 27%, Denmark by 22%, Portugal by 20%, Spain by 16%, and France by 12%.
