دخلت السلطات اليابانية في سوق الصرف لدعم الين (الخميس)، بعد هبوط العملة المحلية أمام الدولار إلى أدنى مستوياتها في أربعة عقود.
ووفقًا لحسابات وكالة «بلومبيرغ» استنادًا إلى بيانات بنك اليابان، باعت البلاد نحو 52.8 مليار دولار لدعم العملة المحلية، وهو أكبر تدخل تنفذه طوكيو في سوق الصرف خلال يوم واحد على الإطلاق.
وقفز الين أمام الدولار بنسبة 3.3%، مسجلًا أكبر مكاسب يومية منذ ديسمبر 2023، وذلك قبل أن يواصل تراجعه اليوم ليتداول عند 160.30 ينًا للدولار.
The Japanese authorities entered the foreign exchange market to support the yen (on Thursday), after the local currency fell against the dollar to its lowest levels in four decades.
According to calculations by Bloomberg based on data from the Bank of Japan, the country sold about $52.8 billion to support the local currency, marking the largest intervention by Tokyo in the foreign exchange market in a single day ever.
The yen jumped against the dollar by 3.3%, recording its largest daily gains since December 2023, before continuing its decline today to trade at 160.30 yen to the dollar.
