تشارك المملكة في المنتدى السياسي الرفيع المستوى المعني بالتنمية المستدامة لعام 2026 التابع للأمم المتحدة، الذي يُعقد خلال الفترة من 7 إلى 15 يوليو 2026 في مدينة نيويورك.
يجمع المنتدى الدول الأعضاء لمراجعة الجهود الدولية والتقدم المحرز في تنفيذ خطة التنمية المستدامة لعام 2030 وتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
وخلال أعمال المنتدى، ستقدم المملكة تقرير الاستعراض الوطني الطوعي لعام 2026، الذي يستعرض التقدم المحرز في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة على المستوى الوطني.
وسبق للمملكة أن قدمت تقريري الاستعراض الوطني الطوعي في المنتدى خلال عامي 2018 و2023، حيث يمثل التقرير لهذا العام المراجعة الوطنية الثالثة للمملكة، ويقدم عرضًا شاملًا لما أُحرز من تقدم في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة، إلى جانب أبرز التحديات والأولويات المستقبلية. يعكس التقرير نهجًا تشاركيًا واسعًا، بمساهمة أكثر من 140 جهة من القطاع الحكومي، والقطاع الخاص، والأوساط الأكاديمية، ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، والشركاء الدوليين، حيث تؤكد مشاركة المملكة التزامها بدمج مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 مع الإطار العالمي لخطة التنمية المستدامة لعام 2030.
ويرأس وفد المملكة المشارك في المنتدى وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط الأستاذ فيصل بن فاضل الإبراهيم، حيث يضم الوفد عددًا من ممثلي 14 جهة من الجهات الحكومية والقطاع الخاص والقطاع غير الربحي؛ تشمل: وزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط، ووزارة الخارجية، ووزارة الطاقة، ووزارة التعليم، ووزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة، ووزارة البلديات والإسكان، وهيئة تطوير منطقة المدينة المنورة، والهيئة العامة للأوقاف، والصندوق السعودي للتنمية، وشركة إكسبو 2030 الرياض، والمنتدى السعودي للأبنية الخضراء، والاتحاد السعودي للرياضة للجميع، وجامعة المجمعة، ومركز سيفال السعودية.
ويُعقد المنتدى هذا العام تحت شعار (إجراءات تحويلية وعادلة ومبتكرة ومنسقة لتنفيذ خطة التنمية المستدامة لعام 2030 وأهدافها من أجل مستقبل مستدام للجميع)، مع مراجعة التقدم المحرز لخمسة من أهداف التنمية المستدامة، وهي: الهدف السادس (المياه النظيفة والنظافة الصحية)، والهدف السابع (طاقة نظيفة وبأسعار معقولة)، والهدف التاسع (الصناعة والابتكار والهياكل الأساسية)، والهدف الحادي عشر (مدن ومجتمعات محلية مستدامة)، والهدف السابع عشر (عقد الشراكات لتحقيق الأهداف).
وسيشارك أعضاء وفد المملكة في أعمال المنتدى من خلال تقديم المداخلات الرسمية باسم المملكة، والمشاركة في مراجعة التقدم المحرز في أهداف التنمية المستدامة المدرجة على جدول أعمال المنتدى، إلى جانب المشاركة في الجلسات الوزارية والنقاشات العامة. كما ستنظم المملكة عددًا من الفعاليات الجانبية، من أبرزها الفعالية الرسمية للمملكة بعنوان: (إعادة التفكير في تنفيذ أهداف التنمية المستدامة من خلال تحديد الأولويات ونهج التنفيذ)، إلى جانب معرض مصاحب بعنوان: (تعزيز الاستدامة في المملكة العربية السعودية)، الذي يستعرض أبرز المبادرات والإنجازات الوطنية التي تسهم في تعزيز الاستدامة وتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة في المملكة.
يذكر أن المنتدى السياسي الرفيع المستوى المعني بالتنمية المستدامة يُعقد سنويًا تحت رعاية المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي التابع للأمم المتحدة.
The Kingdom participates in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2026, organized by the United Nations, which will be held from July 7 to 15, 2026, in New York City.
The forum brings together member states to review international efforts and progress made in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
During the forum, the Kingdom will present the 2026 Voluntary National Review, which assesses the progress made in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals at the national level.
The Kingdom has previously submitted Voluntary National Review reports at the forum in 2018 and 2023, with this year's report representing the Kingdom's third national review. It provides a comprehensive overview of the progress made in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, along with the main challenges and future priorities. The report reflects a broad participatory approach, with contributions from over 140 entities from the government sector, the private sector, academia, civil society organizations, and international partners. The Kingdom's participation underscores its commitment to integrating the targets of Vision 2030 with the global framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Kingdom's delegation to the forum is headed by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Mr. Faisal bin Fadhel Al-Ibrahim, and includes representatives from 14 entities from the government, private, and non-profit sectors; including: the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, the Madinah Region Development Authority, the General Authority for Awqaf, the Saudi Fund for Development, Expo 2030 Riyadh, the Saudi Green Buildings Forum, the Saudi Federation for Community Sports, Al-Majmaah University, and the Saudi Cival Center.
This year's forum is held under the theme (Transformative, Just, Innovative, and Coordinated Actions to Implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Goals for a Sustainable Future for All), with a review of progress made on five of the Sustainable Development Goals, namely: Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Members of the Kingdom's delegation will participate in the forum by delivering official statements on behalf of the Kingdom, engaging in the review of progress made on the Sustainable Development Goals listed on the forum's agenda, as well as participating in ministerial sessions and general discussions. The Kingdom will also organize a number of side events, the most notable of which is the official event titled: (Rethinking the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals through Prioritization and Implementation Approaches), along with a complementary exhibition titled: (Enhancing Sustainability in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), which showcases key national initiatives and achievements that contribute to promoting sustainability and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the Kingdom.
It is worth noting that the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is held annually under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
