كشف مصدر في «أوبك بلس» أن التحالف سينظر في خيار زيادة أكبر في الإمدادات عندما يجتمع الأعضاء الرئيسيون غداً (الأحد)، بعد أن شنت إسرائيل غارات جوية على أهداف داخل إيران، وفقاً لـ«بلومبيرغ».
وكان من المتوقع أن تستأنف المجموعة، التي تقودها السعودية وروسيا، زيادات متواضعة في الإنتاج اعتباراً من أبريل، بعد تجميد للإمدادات استمر ثلاثة أشهر، وفقاً لما ذكره عدة مندوبين في وقت سابق من هذا الأسبوع.
وأفاد بنك باركليز في تقرير صدر قبل الهجمات الإسرائيلية ضد إيران: «في حين أنه من الممكن تماماً ألا يؤدي التصعيد إلى انقطاع في الإمدادات وأن تتلاشى بسرعة علاوة المخاطرة البالغة 3-5 دولارات للبرميل في أسعار النفط، فإن انقطاع الإمدادات بمقدار مليون برميل يومياً سيزيد من الشكوك حول فائض المعروض المتوقع على نطاق واسع ويدفع برنت إلى 80 دولاراً للبرميل».
A source in "OPEC Plus" revealed that the alliance will consider the option of a larger increase in supplies when the main members meet tomorrow (Sunday), following Israel's airstrikes on targets inside Iran, according to "Bloomberg".
The group, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, was expected to resume modest production increases starting in April, after a three-month freeze on supplies, according to several delegates earlier this week.
Barclays Bank reported in a statement issued before the Israeli attacks on Iran: "While it is entirely possible that the escalation will not lead to a supply disruption and that the risk premium of $3-5 per barrel in oil prices will fade quickly, a supply disruption of one million barrels per day will increase doubts about the widely expected surplus and push Brent to $80 per barrel."
