ارتفعت أسعار النفط عند التسوية بنهاية تداولاتها الأسبوعية أمس (الجمعة)، مع احتمال حدوث تعطل في الإمدادات بسبب حصار الولايات المتحدة ناقلات نفط فنزويلية، وسط ترقب الأسواق أنباء عن اتفاق سلام محتمل بين روسيا وأوكرانيا.
وارتفعت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت 65 سنتا أو 1% إلى 60.47 دولار للبرميل عند التسوية، وصعد خام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأميركي 51 سنتا أو 0.9% إلى 56.66 دولار للبرميل.
وعلى أساس أسبوعي، انخفض الخامان القياسيان 1% بعد هبوطهما بنحو 4% الأسبوع الماضي.
وقال المحللون في شركة ريتربوش آند أسوشيتس لاستشارات الطاقة في مذكرة: «يحقق (النفط) مكاسب محدودة بالثبات فوق أدنى مستوياته التي سجلها في وقت سابق هذا الأسبوع في انتظار مزيد من التوجيهات بشأن محادثات السلام الأوكرانية الروسية، بالإضافة إلى الأنباء الجديدة الصادرة من فنزويلا فيما يتعلق بالتأثير المحتمل لحصار ترمب الواضح لناقلات النفط».
وفي الوقت الذي يسعى فيه الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إلى إنهاء أكثر الصراعات دموية في أوروبا منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية، أكد الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين أن العبء يقع على عاتق أوكرانيا وأوروبا لاتخاذ الخطوة التالية نحو السلام.
Oil prices rose at the close of trading at the end of the week yesterday (Friday), with the possibility of supply disruptions due to the United States' blockade of Venezuelan oil tankers, amid market anticipation of news regarding a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
Brent crude futures rose by 65 cents or 1% to $60.47 per barrel at settlement, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude increased by 51 cents or 0.9% to $56.66 per barrel.
On a weekly basis, both benchmark crude oils fell by 1% after dropping about 4% last week.
Analysts at Ritterbusch & Associates energy consulting firm stated in a note: “(Oil) is achieving limited gains by remaining above its lows recorded earlier this week while awaiting further guidance on the Ukrainian-Russian peace talks, in addition to new news coming from Venezuela regarding the potential impact of Trump's clear blockade on oil tankers.”
