يتوقّع رجل الأعمال والملياردير المصري «نجيب ساويرس» أن تواصل أسعار الذهب صعودها، لترتفع إلى ما بين 5 و6 آلاف دولار للأوقية بنهاية العام القادم، مدفوعة بقوة الطلب واستمرار التوترات الجيوسياسية على الساحة العالمية.
وأضاف قائلا: «إن الاتجاه العام للذهب لا يزال صاعداً رغم أي تراجعات مؤقتة، وهو نمط أثبتته حركة المعدن الأصفر خلال السنوات القليلة الماضية»، وفقا لحديثه إلى «الشرق بلومبيرغ».
وأرجع توقعاته الإيجابية إلى عدة عوامل، في مقدمتها محدودية المعروض، موضحاً أن تطوير مناجم الذهب يستغرق في المتوسط نحو سبع سنوات قبل بدء الإنتاج، ما يقيّد قدرة العرض على مواكبة الطلب المتزايد في الأسواق العالمية.
كما أشار إلى أن تصاعد التوترات الجيوسياسية يعزز الإقبال على الذهب باعتباره ملاذاً آمناً، محذراً من مخاطر انزلاق العالم نحو حرب عالمية ثالثة، واستشهد في هذا السياق بارتفاع الإنفاق الدفاعي في أوروبا، إلى جانب استمرار الاضطرابات في أوكرانيا والسودان.
The Egyptian businessman and billionaire "Naguib Sawiris" expects gold prices to continue rising, reaching between 5,000 and 6,000 dollars per ounce by the end of next year, driven by strong demand and ongoing geopolitical tensions on the global stage.
He added, saying: "The overall trend for gold remains upward despite any temporary declines, a pattern that the yellow metal has proven over the past few years," according to his remarks to "Asharq Bloomberg."
He attributed his positive outlook to several factors, foremost among them the limited supply, explaining that developing gold mines takes an average of about seven years before production begins, which restricts the supply's ability to keep pace with the increasing demand in global markets.
He also noted that rising geopolitical tensions enhance the demand for gold as a safe haven, warning of the risks of the world slipping into a third world war, citing in this context the increase in defense spending in Europe, alongside the ongoing disruptions in Ukraine and Sudan.
