استقر سعر الذهب في مصر، اليوم، بعد تحركات محدودة في السوق العالمية، ليستقر عيار 21 – الأكثر تداولًا في السوق المحلي – قرب مستوى 5400 جنيه للجرام، محافظًا على مكاسبه الأخيرة مع تراجع التوقعات بشأن خفض الفائدة الأمريكية في شهر ديسمبر القادم.
وبلغت أسعار الذهب اليوم في مصر عيار 24: 6154 جنيهًا، وعيار 21: 5,385 جنيهًا، وعيار 18: 4,616 جنيهًا، وعيار 14: 3,590 جنيهًا، والجنيه الذهب: 43,080 جنيهًا.
السياسة النقدية
وتتأثر أسعار الذهب في مصر بشكل مباشر بحركة سعر أوقية الذهب عالميًا، وسعر الدولار مقابل الجنيه في السوق المحلية، إلى جانب توجهات السياسة النقدية في الولايات المتحدة.
وكان الاحتياطي الفيدرالي الأمريكي قد خفض سعر الفائدة الرئيسي بمقدار 25 نقطة أساس يوم الأربعاء الماضي، ليصل إلى نطاق بين 3.75% و4.00%.
لكن تصريحات رئيس الفيدرالي الأمريكي جيروم باول، أعادت الحذر للأسواق بعدما أشار إلى أن خفض الفائدة في شهر ديسمبر القادم ليس أمرًا محسومًا، وهو ما دفع عوائد السندات والدولار الأمريكي للصعود؛ ما قلل من جاذبية الذهب.
The price of gold in Egypt stabilized today after limited movements in the global market, with 21-carat gold – the most traded in the local market – settling near 5400 Egyptian pounds per gram, maintaining its recent gains as expectations for a U.S. interest rate cut in December have declined.
Today, gold prices in Egypt are as follows: 24-carat: 6154 pounds, 21-carat: 5,385 pounds, 18-carat: 4,616 pounds, 14-carat: 3,590 pounds, and the gold pound: 43,080 pounds.
Monetary Policy
The prices of gold in Egypt are directly affected by the global price movement of an ounce of gold, the exchange rate of the dollar against the pound in the local market, as well as the trends in monetary policy in the United States.
The U.S. Federal Reserve had reduced the main interest rate by 25 basis points last Wednesday, bringing it to a range between 3.75% and 4.00%.
However, comments from U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell reintroduced caution to the markets after he indicated that a rate cut in December is not a foregone conclusion, which led to rising bond yields and the U.S. dollar, reducing the attractiveness of gold.
