كشف وزير النقل والخدمات اللوجستية صالح الجاسر عن مشروع "حلم الصحراء"، وهو قطار فاخر يُنفذ بشراكة بين شركة سار وإحدى الشركات الإيطالية، وسيبدأ حجز الرحلات قبل نهاية 2025 مع التشغيل الفعلي قبل نهاية 2026.
وأوضح أن المشروع يمثل نقلة نوعية في السكك الحديدية السعودية، مستفيدًا من البنية التحتية القائمة مثل قطار الحرمين وقطار المشاعر وقطار المعادن، مع تصميم عربات فاخرة تعكس الهوية السعودية.
وأكد الجاسر أن المملكة استثمرت أكثر من 200 مليار ريال في القطاع اللوجستي منذ إطلاق الاستراتيجية الوطنية للنقل والخدمات اللوجستية.
Transport and Logistics Minister Saleh Al-Jasser revealed the "Desert Dream" project, which is a luxury train being implemented in partnership between SAR and an Italian company. Reservations for trips will begin before the end of 2025, with actual operations starting before the end of 2026.
He explained that the project represents a qualitative leap in Saudi railways, benefiting from existing infrastructure such as the Haramain train, the Mashair train, and the minerals train, with the design of luxury carriages reflecting Saudi identity.
Al-Jasser confirmed that the Kingdom has invested more than 200 billion riyals in the logistics sector since the launch of the national transport and logistics strategy.
