ترمب: سنفرض تعريفات جمركية كبيرة نسبياً على أشباه الموصلات

President Donald Trump announced that his administration will impose tariffs on semiconductor imports from companies that do not relocate their production to the United States, during a dinner he hosted at the White House with executives from major tech companies.

Trump confirmed to reporters, as reported by Bloomberg, saying: "Yes, I discussed this with you here, we will impose tariffs on chips and semiconductors very soon, on companies that do not enter the American market."

He explained: "We will impose very large tariffs, not extremely high, but relatively large, noting that if these companies enter the country, or if they plan to enter or build in the country, they will not be subject to tariffs."

He pointed out that "Tim Cook," the CEO of Apple, will be in a good position, as Apple raises its total domestic investments in the United States to $600 billion over the next four years.

Since the beginning of his second term, Trump has frequently used tariffs as a cornerstone of American foreign policy, using them to exert political pressure and renegotiate trade deals.
