أعلنت روسيا عن استعدادها لتزويد المكسيك بالغاز الطبيعي المسال ومشاركة تقنياتها المتقدمة في قطاع الطاقة، وذلك في إطار تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين البلدين في مجالات النفط والغاز.
ونشرت السفارة الروسية في المكسيك بياناً على منصة «إكس» نقلت فيه تصريحات لوزير الطاقة الروسي سيرغي تسيفيليف قال فيها: «نحن نعمل بالفعل مع المكسيك، لدينا تقنيات متقدمة في مجال الغاز الطبيعي المسال، ونحن مستعدون لمشاركتها وتزويد المكسيك بالغاز أيضاً».
وأضافت السفارة أن روسيا مستعدة لتقديم تقنيات استخراج النفط المناسبة للظروف الجيولوجية الصعبة، إلى جانب حلول مبتكرة لزيادة كفاءة معالجة النفط، وهو ما قد يمثل فرصة للمكسيك التي تسعى لتعزيز إنتاجها من النفط والغاز وسط تحديات تمويلية وبنية تحتية متقادمة.
تأتي هذه التصريحات في وقت تحاول فيه شركة النفط الحكومية المكسيكية «بيمكس» إعادة تشغيل عدد من الآبار المتوقفة لتعزيز الإنتاج، بعد أن فشلت حتى الآن في الوصول إلى هدف الحكومة البالغ 1.8 مليون برميل يومياً.
وتركز «بيمكس» على الآبار التي تملك إمكانات لزيادة إنتاج النفط أو الغاز أو المكثفات، إلا أن التقدم لا يزال بطيئاً بسبب قلة التمويل وتهالك البنية التحتية، وتملك «بيمكس» أكثر من 30 ألف بئر، نحو ثلثها مغلق، وفقاً لوكالات إعلامية.

Russia has announced its readiness to supply Mexico with liquefied natural gas and share its advanced technologies in the energy sector, as part of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and gas.
The Russian embassy in Mexico published a statement on the platform "X," conveying remarks from Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev, who said: "We are already working with Mexico; we have advanced technologies in the field of liquefied natural gas, and we are ready to share them and supply Mexico with gas as well."
The embassy added that Russia is prepared to provide oil extraction technologies suitable for challenging geological conditions, along with innovative solutions to increase oil processing efficiency, which could represent an opportunity for Mexico as it seeks to boost its oil and gas production amid financial challenges and aging infrastructure.
These statements come at a time when the Mexican state oil company "Pemex" is trying to reactivate a number of halted wells to enhance production, after it has so far failed to reach the government's target of 1.8 million barrels per day.
Pemex is focusing on wells that have the potential to increase oil, gas, or condensate production, but progress remains slow due to a lack of funding and deteriorating infrastructure. Pemex owns more than 30,000 wells, about a third of which are closed, according to media reports.
