كشفت رئيسة البنك المركزي الأوروبي كريستين لاغارد، في مقابلة نُشرت اليوم (السبت)، أن معدل التضخم المستهدف عند 2% بات قريباً.
وقالت لاغارد في المقابلة مع وكالة أنباء الصين الجديدة (شينخوا) ونُشرت على الموقع الإلكتروني للبنك المركزي الأوروبي: «إن الاستقرار المالي شرط أساسي لاستقرار الأسعار، ونقترب من المعدل المستهدف متوسط الأجل للتضخم البالغ 2% الذي حددناه لاستقرار الأسعار».
وفي وقت سابق من هذا الشهر، خفض البنك المركزي الأوروبي توقعاته للتضخم لهذا العام والعام القادم في منطقة اليورو التي تضم 20 دولة، وتوقع أن يبلغ التضخم 2% في عام 2025، و1.6% في العام القادم.
وأشارت لاغارد إلى أن مساعي البنك المركزي الأوروبي لإنشاء عملة رقمية وصلت إلى نقطة بات فيها الاقتراح جاهزاً للتنفيذ إذا دعمه المشرعون.

The President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, revealed in an interview published today (Saturday) that the target inflation rate of 2% is approaching.
Lagarde stated in the interview with the Xinhua News Agency, which was published on the European Central Bank's website: "Financial stability is a prerequisite for price stability, and we are getting closer to the medium-term target inflation rate of 2% that we have set for price stability."
Earlier this month, the European Central Bank lowered its inflation forecasts for this year and next year in the eurozone, which includes 20 countries, and predicted that inflation would reach 2% in 2025 and 1.6% next year.
Lagarde noted that the European Central Bank's efforts to create a digital currency have reached a point where the proposal is ready for implementation if supported by lawmakers.
